It’s no secret that Jersey Shore‘s Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino has spent time in rehab for his prescription drug problem, but exactly how bad was it? In a new interview, the Dancing With The Stars alum finally opened up about his struggle, revealing that it was so bad, he could have died.
Mike “The Situation” Sorrentino spent time in rehab for his prescription drug problem, and as he was recalling the past two years, Mike isn’t even sure when exactly he hit rock bottom, which included taking 15 doses of Oxycodone a day – yikes! In a new interview with In Touch, Mike reveals that he did not seek help sooner because: “I really thought I could fix it, that I could turn it around by myself,” but eventually, he realized that he could not fix it alone.
So, exactly, how bad was it for Mike Sorrentino? The DWTS alum continued on to reveal that he could have died, and he was so out of it that he even turned down gigs. “I didn’t even care! When you’re dependent on a substance, it’s the only thing that matters,” he explained to In Touch. Luckily for Mike, it was the support and coaxing of his family that made him see the light: ““I knew that they were right, that if I didn’t fix the problem there’d be no Situation.”
We can’t help but wonder if he was taking those drugs during his stint on Dancing With The Stars – that would certainly explain the horrible dance moves! Comment and share your thoughts with us!
