Talk about “Mann Power.” Make that, Chris Mann Power! Christina Aguilera‘s Season 2 Voice finalist has been quite busy since his time on the NBC reality show. Not only has he signed with a record label, but he’s getting ready for the release of not one, but TWO albums in the next few months. All the details after the jump.
Somewhere, Christina Aguilera is beaming with pride.
Her Season 2 finalist, Chris Mann, is doing pretty well for himself after appearing on The Voice.
Having recently signed with Universal Republic’s new imprint, Faircraft, the classically trained singer is gearing up for the release of his first album…and his second one, too.
The first is a holiday EP, White Christmas, which will feature six classic songs and be sold exclusively at Walmart stores nationwide starting October 9.
Mann’s solo album will include a mix of 7 covers (Chris Isaak‘s “Wicked Game” and Damien Rice‘s “The Blower’s Daughter” and “My Way”) and 4 original songs; 2 of which he wrote himself.
“The benefit of having done this for 12 years is I had a lot of songs in mind, for whenever I had this opportunity,” Chris tells The Hollywood Reporter. “I just wanted to sing the best songs that I could find, whether I wrote them or not.”
Multi-platinum producer Ron Fair is confident that even though Mann didn’t win the reality competition, he’s “so legitimate and so substantial in his area” that he’s “going to be a huge, huge success.”
“I think it’s really an interesting collection of songs, and they all make sense together,” says Fair of Chris’ solo album.
We can’t wait to hear it!
