With only six contestants remaining, everything counts on the competition, The Glee Project. The final six are fighting it out in an effort to win a part on FOX’s hit series Glee. Four girls and just two boys are left in the competition. This week on the Oxygen reality TV series, the contenders must work in teams to show their passion and romanticism. Who stays and who goes? Keep reading for all the details!
While the contestants on The Glee Project are Glee fans, they’re also aspiring singers hoping to get their big break and the chance to be on their favorite TV show.
The six remaining contestants are Ali, Aylin, Blake, Lily Mae, Michael and Shanna. The hopefuls must dance and sing their way onto the Glee set. Most of them haven’t had a lot of professional experience but each week the contestants must learn the lyrics to songs, work on their vocal delivery and learn choreography!
All are vying for the grand prize–a seven episode arc on Glee and they waste no time getting started. The mentors are Robert Ulrich, Zach Woodlee and Nikki Anders.
For the homework assignment, the cast must sing “More Than Words” by Extreme. The guest star is Darren Criss who played “Blaine” on FOX’s Glee. This week, the contestants have to partner-up. Blake and Ali is a couple, Aylin and Lily and Michael and Shanna. After giving their homework assignment performance, Darren Criss picks Blake as the homework assignment winner. He gets a one-on-one mentoring session with Darren.
This week’s music video is all about romanticality. The setting is Saturday morning detention. After their monitor leaves, the students sneak out and have secret rendezvous’. The couples are Blake and Ali, Michael and Lily, and Aylin and Shanna. The mentors are impressed that Lily has toned down her normal larger-than-life personality while Michael has stepped it up this week making for a great pair. Blake and Ali have amazing chemistry. But things aren’t going as smoothly for Aylin and Shanna. The mentors offered some help by encouraging the girls to be flirtier. Their song is “We Found Love” by Rihanna.
Unfortunately, the mentors selected Blake, Shanna and Aylin to be in the bottom three. This is Shanna’s first time performing for Ryan Murphy. Blake sings “Losing My Religion,” Aylin sings “First Time Ever I Saw Your Face” and Shanna sings “Stronger.” With just two hours to practice their songs, the competitors are feeling the pressure.
As the competition dwindles down it has become more and more difficult for Ryan Murphy to decide who should go and who should stay. He says that this is the most difficult elimination yet! In the end, Shanna is not called back and her time on The Glee Project has come to an end.
