Hollywood Exes Recap: Not All Is Calm In Palm Springs

August 01, 2012 07:08 PM by Martha Zaborowski

On this week’s episode of Hollywood Exes, the ladies head to Palm Springs. The trip features a typical and completely ordinary event for VH1: a fight between women. This is odd, however, for the Hollywood Exes because they’re actually nice, classy women who usually support each other. Read on to find out who is fighting and why.

Sheree Fletcher

Sheree is taking the ladies to Palm Springs, praise the Lord! Before Jessica, Drea, Nicole, Mayte, and Sheree can imbibe in some cocktails, Sheree leads the group in a prayer of thanks. Jessica is thirsty and a little annoyed by the constant group praying, but she is respectful to Sheree and keeps her head down and mouth shut. For now. Sheree and Nicole talk about dinner options, and they are both looking forward to having some meat! Sheree’s doctor told her she needs iron, so in Sheree’s POV she is medically required to eat meat. Jessica gets peeved that Sheree is making her love for meat a religious thing, so Jessica tells her she is hypocrite for being a follower of God while eating God’s innocent animal creatures. Sheree is not pleased.

Mayte Garcia

The ladies go to dinner, and Mayte shares a story about her other famous ex (Tommy Lee) and the time they were hanging with porn stars and a porn star told her a certain type of sex was amazing with olive oil. And now you know. On a more serious note, Mayte reveals she had lost another baby at one point, and it was partly due to her vegan diet…which is why as much as she loves animals, she chooses to eat meat.

Andrea Kelly

Mayte, Sheree, and Drea go shopping, and Drea’s FREAK comes out. She is wearing nothing but baby-doll panties and is prancing around in the changing room with her hands on her boobies! See, we knew you were R. Kelly’s wife. Andrea then tells their wedding story, and it was pretty sweet. R. Kelly said “let’s just do this,” “I want to be with you forever,” and leads Andrea into a room with a pre-planned orchestra playing and he gets down on one knee. Good to know that he really loved and appreciated her.

Nicole Murphy

While the ladies go shopping, Nicole have a drunken dance party with Jessica where they are doing cartwheels, backflips, and basically hump each other in their swimsuits. This portion of Hollywood Exes was for the few straight males watching.

Jessica Canseco

It’s still meat-gate for Jessica vs. the ladies, but Jessica reveals she eats crabs! Crabs may not be cute, Jessica, but they are “meat” as much as a baby cow is. Mayte decides to buy a live lobster to demonstrate that crustaceans feel pain. When Jessica finds out they have live lobsters, she is very upset and starts lecturing about how bad it is to eat meat again. Drea then makes a very shocking declaration that Jessica shouldn’t lecture so much about killing animals because she once had an abortion. The ladies then get into a huge argument about what makes someone a hypocrite, and Jessica claims that Sheree pretends to be such a holy roller when she drinks hard liquor off-camera. The vibe is not good between the ladies.

Whose side were you on–Sheree or Jessica? Were you shocked the ladies brought up Jessica’s abortion?

I was really enjoying hollywood exes, it was so refreshing unlike Alanta,Beverly, and the rest of those housewives shows that swear so much I dont even want my 18 yr. to watch them. The first few episodes were great but then the trouble making, unforgiveness, swearing, is such a disappointment, I will not watch it again. I would rather watch a show where women encourage and promote each other.

I also want them to go back to being the way they started-as little drama as possible. It looks like they have to get rid of Jessica to do that though because she seems to thrive on drama.

Other than her, I love the show too.

    I agreed with Sheree.

Jessica seems low-key irritated that Sheree is a church lady and has been making snide remarks about her for several episodes.

Even when Andrea brought up the abortion, Jessica became more angry at Sheree for echoing it. She has an irrational hatred toward Sheree that has been simmering beneath the surface.

To me, Jessica got what she deserved. She would not let the matter rest. And she made up stuff — like saying the Bible said not to kill or eat animals until they are at the end of life. This is not true at all. People kill and eat animals in nearly every chapter of the Bible.

Jessica was an idiot. She wouldn’t shut up. She was way more preachy than the church lady — and arrogant.

I’m glad they shut Jessica down and hurt her feelings. She had no business causing drama because people are eating animals when Nature is anchored on a food chain — that she willingly participates in with crab, cheese, etc.

I think it is really irresponsible for Mayte to say that she lost her babies due to her vegan diet. That’s hogwash, and if some doctor told her that he’s an idiot and I feel sorry for her believing that. To say something so misinformed like that on tv is unconscionable! Now she’s a corpse-muncher, taking out her grief on the animals, and encouraging others to do the same with the B.S. about how humans need meat.

I see some of jessicas views because as Christians we shouldnt be drinking anything.and the Bible tells us that. Sheree should be the whole example of Christ on the show.

I was hoping to be able to watch a show of ladies who were productive citizens , that young ladies can watch and learn from. It seems to be deteriorating into the Basketball wives with all the violence and cursing and negative actions. This is not my world and I don’t want to waste my time watching it.

    I am really disappointed!!!

I really love this show in the beginning. It was nice to watch a group of women who seemed to genuinely like one another and get along. What the heck happened? Mayte: I understand infertility and being married to a jerk (you are not alone). Andrea: I understand helping make a man successful only to have him disrespect and abandon you when he no longer needs you (you are not alone). You two stop whining and suck it up! Success is the best revenge! Sheree: Nothing to say. Jessica: Beautiful, dim witted, blond with absolutely no tact. I am truly amazed she has retained her teeth this long the way she pushes peoples buttons. Nicole: You are great! Beautiful, classy, a nice person. I would love to have a friend like you. Eddie Murphy should have his head examined for letting you go! Mayte and Andrea I am disappointed in you both. My advice is to stay away from Jessica or bitch slap her and teach her a lesson, but don’t be chicken poop and tag team her. You are both better than than!
