Cheryl Burke Has Concerns About Dancing With The Stars All Stars

August 02, 2012 05:00 PM by Melissa Stavarski

The All Stars season of Dancing with the Stars will be here before we know it. The highly-anticipated season is set to premiere on Monday, September 24 on ABC. Cheryl Burke has some concerns about the upcoming season. While she’s excited, she’s also preparing herself for quite the challenge! What makes this season different? Keep reading for all the details.

Cheryl Burke has a lot on her mind leading into All Stars. As a long-time professional competitor on Dancing with the Stars, there’s more stress to be original and to top the performances from seasons prior. Cheryl also draws attention to how far the show has come since its inception.

“The pressure is going to be huge,” Cheryl tells Access Hollywood. “I mean, I still wake up and I [think], ‘OK, what can I do different?’ The costumes have to be different, the choreography has to be different. I mean, the level of [difficulty] from season 2 until now has been extreme, absolutely.”

Cheryl jokes about any increased demands on the stars and pros for All Stars.

“They’re probably going to make our hours crazy,” Cheryl says. “We’re already doing seven days a week. They’re probably going to be like – ‘Six dances! Let’s see who gets through it. Let’s mix it up.’”

Besides these challenges, there’s also the issue of pairing pros and stars. Cheryl and Mark Ballas have multiple past partners returning. Season 2 winner Drew Lachey, season 3 winner Emmitt Smith, and season 8 runner-up Gilles Marini were all originally partnered with Cheryl. Looking at those standings, obviously successfully partnered! Who will be Cheryl’s partner for All Stars? How in the world are the producers going to decide?

Cheryl says, “I have no idea! It’s going to be heartbreaking, honestly, at the end of the day. I’m going to be one of those jealous women there… I’m going to be sneaking into rehearsals.”

Would you like to see Cheryl reunited with Drew, Emmitt, or Gilles? In the interest of fairness, should any stars and pros reunite or should all stars and pros be new to one another? The pairings will be revealed Monday, August 13 on Good Morning America.

Cheryl is Filipino, Russian and Irish. What does avoiding a lawsuit about blacks have to do with her? You should get your facts straight.
