Christina Aguilera may say some crazy things on The Voice (and wear some even crazier outfits), but at the end of the day, she is definitely a talented singer. This fall, Aguilera will be using that talent to help raise money for a great cause: hunger relief. The singing sensation has already been the ambassador for Yum! Brands’ World Hunger Relief for three years, but now, she’s taking her efforts to the next level by filming a public service announcement. Keep reading for the details!
Although she comes across as a bit shallow on The Voice and in certain interviews, Christina Aguilera does have her heart in the right place. And she’s proving it once again with her continued efforts at banishing hunger. The singer is set to appear in a new public service announcement for Yum! Brands’ World Hunger Relief and she’s super excited to lend a hand…or some vocal cords. “I’m excited about my new PSA for Yum! Brands’ World Hunger Relief effort this fall using my voice for good to help feed millions of children who go to bed hungry every night. I hope to inspire others to use their voice for good and move millions of people from hunger to hope.”
Moving millions from hunger to hope is a huge proposition, but the Yum! Brands World Hunger effort has already contributed greatly to that end. As the largest private sector hunger relief initiative on Earth, the Yum! Brands World Hunger Relief has managed to raise over $115 million for the United Nations World Food Programme. That’s quite an accomplishment! It’s great to see Christina Aguilera using her voice to help others, and hopefully, other celebs will follow in her footsteps.
