August 07, 2012 09:35 PM by Veronica Dudo

Fall is just around the corner which means your favorite TV shows will be back with all-new seasons! In a few months you might see one of the finalists from The Glee Project playing a character on FOX’s hit series Glee! The competition on the Oxygen reality TV series is fierce with only five contenders remaining. Glee’s Dianna Agron guest stars on tonight’s episode. Keep reading to find out who makes it to the finale!

Acting ability is the test on this week’s episode as the five remaining contestants–Ali, Aylin, Blake, Lily Mae and Michael–are all vying to win a seven episode guest starring role on Glee. The hopefuls must dance and sing their way onto the Glee set. Most of them haven’t had a lot of professional experience but each week the contestants must learn the lyrics to songs, work on their vocal delivery and learn choreography!

The mentors are Robert Ulrich, Zach Woodlee and Nikki Anders. Glee creator Ryan Murphy will ultimately make the call but tonight the writers will be helping him decide on who should be eliminated.

For the homework assignment, the cast must sing “Addicted to Love” as the guest star, Dianna Agron who plays “Quinn” on FOX’s Glee holds up signs with emotions that the contestants must act out. Dianna picks Michael as the homework assignment winner. He gets a one-on-one mentoring session with Dianna.

This week’s music video is all about actability. Instead of performing in a music video the contenders appear in a movie trailer.┬áThe setting is a small town and features a group of high school friends coming of age. The song they sing in-between acting scenes is Pink’s “Perfect.”

Aylin portrays a Turkish girl from a conservative family who is dating Blake, the school’s star quarterback. Aylin discovers she is pregnant and is sent to a private school. Before she leaves she develops serious feelings for Michael and Blake finds out. Blake confronts Michael and the two end up having a fist-fight! Ali who plays Michael’s sister was an award-winning athlete who suffered a major injury as a result of a car accident caused by her best-friend Lily Mae.

The mentors tell the finalists how proud they are of the artists and reveal one more gift–all five of the contestants will have the opportunity to do last-chance performances for Ryan Murphy. In true Glee fashion there’s a twist! The Glee writing team will be joining Murphy to help him decide who will stay and who will go.

Lily Mae sings “Son of a Preacher Man,” made famous by Dusty Springfield; Michael sings “Girls Just Want To Have Fun” by Cyndi Lauper; Ali sings “Here’s To Us” by Halestorm; Blake sings “I’m Still Standing” by Elton John and Aylin sings “Fighter” by Christina Aguilera.

After Ryan deliberates with the writers a decision is reached. Unfortunately, both Michael and Lily are eliminated from the competition ad their time on The Glee Project comes to an end.
