Big Brother 14 Recap: Mike Boogie, The Censored Douche Bag

August 09, 2012 07:23 PM by Ryan Haidet

Unlike last week’s absolutely frustratingly useless episode of Big Brother 14, there was actually an eviction tonight.  Thank goodness producers actually followed through with an elimination.  Anywho, after she found herself put up on the chopping block, Janelle was out for answers.  The former coach couldn’t understand why Danielle would make her a target for eviction when the plan to get Frank out of the house was so solid.  She first went to Danielle who cried and offered up an apology.  Danielle also said her decision was based on conversations with others who warned her that Janelle was gunning for her.  We then had to watch Dan pretend he was shocked as he talked with Janelle about the change in nominations.  Realizing she was definitely in trouble, Janelle went pleading for votes and it brought her to one player who was having some serious second thoughts about keeping Frank around for another week.  And why exactly is Mike Boogie a censored douche bag?  Hmmm…

Britney’s Tears

When Janelle went to chat with Britney about the upcoming eviction, Britney could barely hold her emotions together.  After lying straight to Janelle’s face suggesting that she will have enough votes to stay in the house, Britney went to the Head of Household bedroom and cried about being a liar.  She felt like Janelle had some valid points by saying the coaches could be one solid block and by breaking it apart could hurt their odds in the end.  Britney was torn because she felt like taking Janelle out might be a mistake.

Dashed Hopes

When it came time for the live eviction, despite her fight to stay alive, Janelle was booted from the game with everybody voting against her except for Joe.  When she walked out of the house, the studio audience erupted and Britney cried some more.  Oh, Britney.  It’s a game.  If you can’t handle it, maybe you should be backdoored next and the “Silent Six” alliance can become the “Finicky-less Five.”

Taunting Goodbye

Trying to contain her nerves during her exit interview with host Julie Chen, a shaky-voiced Janelle said she thinks they chose to backdoor her because she’s such a strong player — something she considers to be a huge compliment.  As far as Boogie is concerned, she said that he has too big of a target on his back to win the game again.  While I personally don’t like the game Boogie is playing this summer, I do believe he could win the game because he managed to flip the entire house on his side when the odds were clearly stacked against him.  I don’t think it’s likely for him to take home another $500,000 prize, I don’t doubt it either.

Cue The Farewell Messages!

When the goodbye messages started rolling, Janelle laughed at how loud Joe was shouting at the camera before sitting in silence to soak in every word dished out by Boogie.  “Don’t be mad at the people that voted you out, this one was all me,” Boogie arrogantly teased.  “So, for the third time, always the bridesmaid, but never the Big Brother bride.  Buh bye, Janelle,” he closed out by wagging his Chilltown T-shirt at the screen.

Without hesitation, Janelle fired off her initial reaction saying, “He’s such a loser.”  When the audience laughter died down a bit, she added that he’s a “douche bag,” which CBS felt was too extreme for their live show and bleeped it out.  Really?  Those words are too intense for this ridiculous season that showed the coaches thrusting and licking with all sorts of sexual references during a previous challenge?  Get real and grow up.  The bleep didn’t even matter because any human being with a slight ability to read lips could tell she called him a douche bag.

But that wasn’t the end of Janelle’s opinions on Boogie.  She brought the crowd to a loud cheer once again with these final words:  “Screw you, Mike Boogie.  I hope you lose.”

The Tides Turn Again

After a blast of round-robin trivia battle, Frank won the HoH competition and happily celebrated his victory with Boogie and Ian as Joe lurked in the background with a scowl on his face.

What do you think of tonight’s episode?  Are you happy Janelle was evicted?  Do you think Mike Boogie is a douche bag?  Who do you think Frank will nominate for eviction next week?  Sound off and leave a comment below!

Big Mistake… Janelle actually tried to protect all her players that she coached. They will see that later..but to late. Can’t believe after everything people listed to Boogie. I can’t watch him…so annoying. Just gross. Janelle was a TV favorite; bet the ratings suffer. So many fake people this time. I know its the game but wow.

Janelle should never have been in the game in the first place…. she should be home with her very young baby who needs to be bonding with Mom and not have Mom off playing games….. makes me wonder about her.

I was happy to see Janelle go. She was always a BB favorite of mine, but this time around she acted more like Boogie than her-self. I was very disapointed with the “new” Janelle!!!

Boogie should not be on the show with his troubled reputation and I believe he wanted Janelle off cause she told it to her housemates that he is being accused of something and sued. Thus Boogie turns suddenly on Janelle with hate.

Danielle is a big disappointment doing whatever Dan tells her to do. Women never learn to stand by each other.

Booger (I know his nickname is Boogie, but it’s either Mike or Booger) won’t win this game because people DO realize that the jury does get to watch the goodbye messages and I don’t think his ego will be contained well enough by the time of the jury.

And it’s interesting – but Janelle was the only one to NOT hit the reset button of the coaches – I think she hated knowing the newbies were going to be put at a disadvantage.

Which leads me to one point – Grodner is the one to blame here – she allowed the COACHES the vote to enter the game, not the players, and only required ONE vote to enter all in.

There was NO WAY Booger was going to turn it down – I think Brittney and Dan didn’t want to either out of respect for the newbies but knowing Booger would, just hit it anyway.

Actually Mel you are wrong. Boogie was the ONLY one who did NOT hit the reset button. The other three coaches did choose to reset.

Mel, Actually Boogie was the ONLY one who DID NOT hit the re=set button. He said something like, “Sorry America, but no thanks. I’m good.” He wanted to stay as a coach, and Julie even mentioned to him later that he looked a little mad when they annuonced that the coaches were becoming players. Janelle definitely wanted to press the reset button, and did.
