Remember Carson Kressley? You may have watched him bedazzling it up on Queer Eye or showing off his two left feet on Dancing with the Stars. Well, with your help, Kressley might have the opportunity to return to DWTS for its upcoming all-star season. So, why is Kressley comparing himself to Mitt Romney?
You gotta love Carson Kressley. He’s one of the worst dancers to ever grace the stage of Dancing with the Stars, but his disastrous moves and sequiney costumes are oh-so-fun to watch. Kressley might be joining the ranks of DWTS this fall, but that all depends on how much viewers want to see him back. The alum will be joining fellow fan faves Kyle Massey and Sabrina Bryan to compete for the final spot remaining on the reality show.
Kressley was super pumped to learn of his position as a fan favorite. He told AfterElton that, after hearing of his opportunity to once again join the cast, he thought, “Yeah, why not? Let’s have some more fun.” There’s a lot of pressure involved in competing for a spot on the show though, and Kressley has confessed to feeling like the “gay Mitt Romney.”
Of course, Kressley realizes that things will be even harder the second time around, what with the likes of Apolo Ohno, Melissa Rycroft, Shawn Johnson and Gilles Marini joining the all-star cast. But he does have a bit of an advantage: “I was in the live show in Las Vegas for three months and I had a great dance partner who was a many times world champion. So I’m just practicing my Rumba and my Salsa and my Fox Trot and all those dances I never got to do on the show.”
Dancing isn’t the only way to win fans! Kressley promises to continue to flirt with judge Bruno Tonioli and dancing pro Maks Chmerkovskiy. Oh, and sequins. There will be plenty of those too.
