Here we go again American Idol fans! With so many big names from Pink to Nick Jonas, we can’t help but wonder if we will ever find out who the next addition to the judging panel will be. To add even more confusion to the mix, Sean “P. Diddy” Combs is the next big name to be rumored to have been approached by the show. Could he be headed to the judging panel?
Not again! With all the names already thrown into the mix of possibilities for the next American Idol judge, do we really need one more? Whether we do or not, we are getting it. Reports now claim that Sean “P. Diddy” Combs has been approached by the show! According to The New York Post, a source told them: “Producers at the Fox show have reached out to the Bad Boy Records founder,” but according to a source who spoke to E!, Sean Combs is “a long shot.”
Is your head spinning yet with all these names? Mine sure is. I mean, we’ve heard Pink, Toby Keith, Reba McEntire, among others who have already turned the gig down. Meanwhile, Nick Jonas and Brad Paisley were both supposedly in talks with the show, but we have heard nothing more. Earlier rumors claimed that Adam Lambert and Aretha Franklin may be joining the panel, and as wacky as it sounds, Charlie Sheen has expressed interest. Heck, we still don’t even know whether or not Randy Jackson is returning to the panel or moving on to more of a mentoring role.
So, what is taking American Idol so long? Nigel Lythgoe explained to E! why the show is taking their time: “What you’ve got to realize is you’ve got to create a panel that gels. A panel that makes sense together. It’s not just about three individuals.”
Do you think Sean Combs would make a good addition to the judging panel on American Idol? Why or why not? Share your thoughts below!
