Kelly Osbourne has grown up a lot since her stint on “The Osbournes” and she’s come into her own as a young woman. But she sees the pressures faced by some of the “prettier” reality show queens and she wants none of it. What did the “Dancing With The Stars” contestant have to say about the pressures of being pretty?
Kelly Osbourne thinks that pretty girls feel an intense pressure to keep ahold of their youthful looks, but she thinks everyone needs to stop comparing themselves to other people.
‘Women are so unforgiving of themselves,” Kelly Osbourne said. “We don’t recognise our own beauty, because we’re too busy comparing ourselves to other people. No, we are not all Gisele Bundchen or Beyonce Knowles but I can tell you even the most beautiful girls in the world have felt insecure.”
”Just seeing the pressure my friends Kim Kardashian and Kate Moss are under makes me never want to be the prettiest in the room,” she went on to say. “There is no such thing as perfection.”
She suggested this exercise when you’re feeling a bit down on yourself.
”Try this; look in the mirror. Find one thing you like… think, ‘Well, I’ve got this, and a lot of people don’t.’ You have to look at what you do have.”
Way to think positive, Kelley. Kelly famously lost about 70 pounds and has become a host on “Fashion Police” and covers the Academy Awards red carpet.
But she told Britain’s “Glamour” magazine: ’I call myself an FFP – former fat person. And when you’re an FFP, you will always see in yourself what people used to bully you for.”
