And the drama continues after the domestic violence incident between Chad Johnson (Ochocinco) and Evelyn Lozada. While Chad Johnson may be trying to place the blame on Evelyn, she has a different tale to tell (shocker). The Basketball Wives‘ star has finally spoken out about the incident, and she hopes her story will encourage other women!
There’s always two sides to every story, right? Despite the fact that Chad Johnson tried to blame Evelyn Lozada for the head-butting incident that landed him in the slammer over the weekend, Evelyn had a different story to tell when she recently opened up about what really went down.
TMZ recently caught up with Evelyn Lozada, and she told them that Chad needs to stop trying to blame her. “I am deeply disappointed that Chad has failed to take responsibility for his actions and made false accusations against me,” The Basketball Wives star explained.
The worst part of this whole situation? No, not that they were crazy enough to even get married (that’s a close second), but that this is not the first time that Johnson has been accused of domestic violence. Apparently, Johnson was accused of domestic violence with a former girlfriend back in 2000, and according to court records, Johnson didn’t complete his probation requirements in a timely manner, but instead, he blew off the domestic violence program for years.
While Evelyn Lozada did not say whether or not the two will ever reconcile, she does have one wish for Chad: “It is my sincere hope that he seeks the help he needs to overcome his troubles. Domestic violence is not okay and hopefully my taking a stand will help encourage other women to break their silence as well.”
Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada were just married last month, and were set to have their new reality series, Ev and Ocho premiere next month on VH1, but in light of the domestic violence incident, VH1 has pulled the plug on the series.
