“Pack a lunch America because we’re going to work.” Those were Joe’s words at the start of tonight’s episode of Big Brother 14 after finding himself nominated for eviction against Wil. Although he felt completely alone in the game, Joe vowed to do everything in his power to stay alive. But his fight for survival never really happened because Wil basically did it all for him. Although Joe was initially Frank and Boogie’s intended target for the week, their minds quickly changed when Wil dished out his arrogant attitude when discussing strategy with them. Boogie thought this was the perfect opportunity to take Joe under their wing and work with him because nobody else is willing to do so. Boogie believed it would make Joe their “loyal pet.” Plus, the Zingbot made a lackluster return to the house with a horrible arsenal of stupid insults so terrible they wouldn’t be worthy for a second-grade joke book.
Frank Vs. Wil
Just as Boogie suggested, Frank went and essentially told Joe they plan to eliminate Wil on Thursday night. Meanwhile, Boogie went and tried to work his mind games on Wil by telling him he’s safe for the week. But Wil wasn’t buying any of it. Wil knew he was in trouble and winning the Power of Veto was absolutely critical to securing his future in the game.
Trying to build new bonds that might help keep him alive in the house, Wil started opening up to Danielle about his personal life. He told her all about his past as a touring musician (?!?!?!) and how he went to a Catholic school, which he compared to hell. He told her that people had been calling him gay before he even hit puberty and admitted to eating lunch in the bathroom stall all but five days one school year. And it worked! In the Diary Room, Danielle said that he doesn’t deserve to be on the chopping block.
“I’m Baaaaaack! Zing!
As fans have been chatting about online for several days now, the Zingbot made its return. While the Zingbot is an extremely popular element to the show, its insults weren’t good enough this time for a Comedy Central-style roast at Chuck E. Cheese. Here are the insults we heard from the Zingbot:
- Ashley, your smile lights up the room — too bad it’s the only thing about you that’s bright. Zing!
- Shane, my 5-year-old niece called, she wants her pink tank top back. Zing!
- Britney, I have a half million dollars to donate. Please tell me more about the charity you gave yours to. I think it was called the Brigade. Zing!
- Joe, how does it feel to be the old man of the house? Oh, sorry Boogie, I didn’t see you there! Zing!
- Ian, for a chemical engineering student, it’s amazing how little chemistry you have with the ladies. Zing!
- Jenn, you have a lot in common with a gossip magazine — you’re both covered in bad ink. Zing!
- Frank, Little Orphan Annie would ‘preech if you would stop stealing her hairdo. Zing!
- Danielle, I hear Shane is going to give you a special gift after the season — a restraining order. Zing!
I’ve enjoyed the Zingbot’s insults before, but these were so boring. Just another sign that this season is completely disastrous.
Frank Blings Out
The Zingbot co-hosted the PoV competition with Ian as seven houseguests — Wil, Joe, Frank, Boogie, Ashley (with a bad back), Jenn and Shane (who competed since he won the Veto ticket last week) — battled for the golden medallion. When Frank won the PoV, a miniature baby Zingbot appeared to give away the medallion. After winning, Frank said he was “blinged out” for the week with all of the power in his hands.
Trying to rally before the Veto meeting, Ashley and Wil went to Frank in hopes he would use the PoV to nominate Dan so they could backdoor him next. They said they would also have Jenn and Ian on their side if he chose to do it. Frank thought it over and said it was something he would consider because he knows Dan is a huge threat.
When Britney realized Ashley and Wil were upstairs trying to work their magic on Frank, she sent Ian to do some detective work. In fact, Ian rushed away like Britney’s little lapdog. When he got to the Head of Household bedroom, Frank opened up and said he was thinking that Dan was too much of a threat to keep any longer. Ian didn’t think it was a good idea because all it would do is open up a can of worms. Ian asked him to keep the waters calm so they could avoid the bloodbath they would be swimming in if they shook everything up.
The next morning, Frank brought the subject of backdooring Dan up with Boogie. Frank continued to argue that Dan has been targeting him since the beginning of the game and now would be the perfect opportunity to get him out of the house since they have the votes. But Boogie didn’t want to create new enemies by turning the tables on Dan.
At the Veto meeting, Frank kept his nominations the same by not using the PoV. That means either Joe or Wil will be sent packing next. Will you be watching Thursday night as this terrible season continues or will you do something better with your time — like watching paint dry? Zing! Hardy har har.
What did you think of tonight’s episode? Are you surprised Frank didn’t use the PoV? Who do you hope is evicted next, Joe or Wil? What do you think of the Zingbot’s return? Sound off and leave a comment below!
