Kim Kardashian Divorce Delayed

August 16, 2012 08:00 AM by Gina Hall

Kim Kardashian and Kanye West can’t seem to catch a break. The “Keeping Up With The Kardashians” star’s legal team showed up at L.A. Superior Court today to find out that the court could be strung out until next May? What’s a reality star to do?!

Kim Kardashian just wants a simple divorce. But Kris Humphries wants an annulment, something that says that the marriage never existed. That’s what’s gumming up the gears.

According to the Associated Press, Judge Stephen Moloney said “he thinks the case can still be resolved by next May.” Wow, that’s a much longer marriage than either Kim Kardashian or Kris Humphries even imagined. And Kim has reportedly already spent over $250,000 in legal fees, which she plans to bill to Humphries. Wouldn’t want to be in the Humphries household when that bill comes due.

Kris Humphries’s attorney, Marshall Waller said lawyers Kanye West and the crew of “Keeping Up with the Kardashians” are slowing down the proceedings.

“I don’t want to use the word ‘uncooperative,’ but they are not making the process easier,” said Kris’s attorney. So, he doesn’t want to use the word “uncooperative” he just wants to use other words that mean the same thing.

According to sources, Kris’s legal team tried to serve Kanye West a subpoena in a Nordstrom box, thinking it would trick him into opening. Kanye probably doesn’t shop at Nordstrom, hence why he sniffed out the trick.

If Kris continues to push for fraud, the divorce may require a two-week trial. The judge scheduled a follow-up hearing for Nov. 28th.
