For the first two seasons of Face Off, the judges have made every decision regarding the contestants’ fates. They have always held all the power by selecting who is eliminated and who wins the grand prize at the end of the competition. But there’s a major change coming to this SyFy reality smash for season three. Instead of the judges deciding who ultimately wins the special effects makeup battle, the viewers will decide who to crown as the champion by voting for their favorite finalist.
Immediately following a pre-recorded episode that airs on Tuesday, October 30, a live-voting feature (yet to be explained) will be made available so fans can cast their votes for which of the final three contestants they want to win. The votes will be tallied and the winner will be announced during Face Off’s first ever live broadcast from Los Angeles on Halloween night at 10 p.m. The winner will walk away with $100,000 and a new car, among other prizes.
Season three, which features a new batch of contestants and a new judge on the panel, slams the airwaves with a 90-minute premiere on Tuesday, August 21 at 9 p.m. That’s a new day and time from season two, which aired on Wednesday nights at 10 p.m.
What do you think of America having the final decision in choosing the winner? Do you think that’s a good or bad idea? Are you excited for the upcoming season? What is your favorite thing about the show? Sound off and leave a comment below!
