The 46th CMA Awards are just a few months away, which is why ABC has taken care to get its hosts on board early. Doing the honors this year are country star Brad Paisley and American Idol alum Carrie Underwood! This is certainly not the first time the pair has hosted the CMAs and, if things go smoothly as usual, we’re sure it won’t be the last.
We suspected that Carrie Underwood and Brad Paisley would be back for the CMA Awards again this year, since they’ve done such a good job at hosting in the past. In a recent press release, ABC finally confirmed that, yes, the pair will be returning for the 46th CMA Awards, which will be held on November 1st.
Carrie Underwood is super excited to join the CMAs once again, as she explained in a statement, “I think I can speak for both of us when I say that we are extremely excited to be back for a fifth year hosting the CMA Awards. Each year we work harder so that we can help present the best show possible.”
Brad Paisley is also eager to return, especially now that he’s so comfortable in his role as CMA co-host. “I think you walk out there with people expecting a certain thing now and that’s a great place to be. I think they know who we are. They know what we do up there together and we’ve become something different together than we are separately I think, which is fun.”
