On July 8 of this year, 33-year-old Kourtney Kardashian gave birth to her second child, 7-pound, 14-ounce Penelope Scotland Disick. With a straight face, Kourtney Kardashian told “Us Weekly” that she hasn’t really worried about losing the weight for the time being.
“I gained nearly 45 pounds. I’m 5 feet tall, so that’s a lot,” she told the magazine. Good math there, Kourtney. The “Kardashians” star went on to explain her strategy.
“While I’m here around the house, I just eat healthy.” Kourtney claimed.
Little Penelope was born at Cedars-Sinai Medical Center in Los Angeles. The whole clan was in tow: the proud father, Scott Disick, Kourtney’s sister Kim and Khloe Kardashian and Kendall and Kyle Jenner, brother Rob Kardashian and her mother/manager Kris Jenner.
Welcome to the world, Penelope.
In spite of the crowd, Kourtney said the delivery was “really easy.” So easy, that just as she did with her first child, Mason, she pulled out her daughter with her own hands.
“I did! She was coming out, and I was thinking, I should pull her,” Kourtney says. “With Mason, I had no idea I was going to do that. This time, I thought, ‘This is what I’m supposed to do.”
Scott Disick, four years Kourtney’s junior, added “Our doctor has grown fond of that maneuver, and we’re fond of it too.”
It’s not yet clear if the magic moment – Penelope’s very first on this planet – will air on “Keeping up with the Kardashians.” Stay tuned.
