On Sunday, Sharon Osbourne took to Twitter to practically beg for her old job back, saying, “”To everyone who tweeted about @TheXFactor tonight, thank you – I miss you too! Tell Simon to take me back for season 10. #XFactor.” So will the ex “X Factor” host get her gig back?
The ninth season of “The X Factor” U.K. premiered Aug.18, 2012 on ITV1.
Sharon Osbourne was a judge on “The X Factor” U.K. from its 2004 premiere to 2007, when she made headlines for quitting due to a feud with fellow judge Dannii Minogue, who left the show in 2011 and declined an offer to return in 2012.
But Sharon Osbourne may have burned her bridges. She has said for years that she never intends to go back to the show as a permanent judge.
Not that anyone was asking.
This month, Sharon announced that she was quitting “America’s Got Talent” when the show’s seventh season ends next month. She had been a judge on the show since 2007, when she replaced Grammy-winning singer Brandy. Her reason for quitting: She is angry with NBC (the U.S. network for “America’s Got Talent”) because she says the network reneged on an oral contract to cast her son, Jack Osbourne, on the reality show “Stars Earn Stripes,” and that they did so because he announced that he has multiple sclerosis.
The timing of her announcement couldn’t be worse: She currently has a rocky relationship with Simon Cowell the executive producer of “The X Factor” and “America’s Got Talent.” That rocky relationship might have something to do with her accusing Cowell of having “small penis syndrome.”
It was unclear what research went into the diagnosis.
