Each week on Top Chef: Masters things have been heating up in the kitchen as the competing chefs are pushed to their limits! On tonight’s episode of the Bravo reality TV show, the chefs must make meat and vegitarian dishes for The Indigo Girls. Plus they create a whimsical all-you-can-eat bottomless brunch for reality TV star and Ms. Las Vegas Holly Madison!
Along with bragging rights, the chefs are competing for prizes and money that will be donated to their charities. The show is based in Las Vegas and all of the chefs put their luck to the test. The seven competing chefs are Patricia Yeo, Takashi Yagihashi, Art Smith, Thierry Rautureau, Kerry Heffernan, Lorena Garcia and Chris Cosentino.
The rotating judges include Krista Simmons, Francis Lam, Ruth Reichl and James Oseland.
On tonight’s Quickfire Challenge, the chefs must make a dynamic duo dish for The Indigo Girls. Each chef must cook a dish with meat and a vegitarian one. Unfortunately, Patricia is eliminated from the challenge because she is unable to plate her food in enough time however The Indigo Girls taste her broth and love it! In the end, Takashi Yagihashi is selected as the winner and receives $5,000 for his charity along with immunity.
This week the chefs must display their culinary skills by creating a whimsical all-you-can-eat bottomless brunch for Holly Madison’s cocktail pool-party. Holly tells the chefs she invited 150 guests for the upscale brunch buffet and would like to offer everything from healthy choices to comfort food. Bikini-clad servers hand out the chefs’ creations to Holly’s friends lounging by the pool.
The judges ask to see Takashi, Art, Kerry and Lorena. They’re pleasantly surprised to know their dishes are the judges’ favorites but there can only be one winner. The judges select Lorena as the winner and she receives money for her charity.
Next, the judges ask to see Patricia, Chris and Thierry whose dishes have ranked in the bottom three. Everyone is very nervous heading into the critics table but after tasting the dishes with Holly Madison and hearing feedback from guests, the judges decide to eliminate Thierry Rautureau. Host Curtis Stone announces that they will be making a donation to Thierry’s charity.
