Kim Zolciak’s Mother Is Suing Her! Why?

August 31, 2012 07:31 AM by Martha Zaborowski

Bravo star Kim Zolciak-Biermann of The Real Housewives of Atlanta and Don’t Be Tardy for the Party recently welcomed a new bundle of joy into the family, but it looks like not everyone is happy in her family. On August 28, Kim’s mother, Karen Zolciak, filed papers to sue her daughter! What happened?

According to Atlanta-based blogger, Tamara Tattles, Karen Zolciak hasn’t met her new grandson nor seen her other grandchildren since last year–so Karen is suing Kim for visitation rights to see her granddaughters. According to the filing, “The girls live such a crazy, abnormal life being on T.V., they need a normal haven to relax and unwind and just be kids. Plaintiff was portrayed as a bad person on defendant’s show Don’t Be Tardy for the Wedding which featured defendant’s wedding to Kroy Bierrman.”

Does Karen Zolciak have a case? It’s possible. Kim’s daughters consider Kroy Biermann their father, but legally, he isn’t. So perhaps his decision on whether Karen should see Brielle and Arianna won’t hold up in court. In addition, Kim’s daughters lived with Karen in her care at least part of the time while Kim was unmarried, so maybe Karen could argue that at least gives her visitation rights. Kim has not yet addressed this matter publicly.

Do you think Karen has a right to see her granddaughters? Does Karen have a case of sour grapes because she appeared in a negative light on Don’t Be Tardy for the Party? Would this filing ever have happened if the family didn’t appear on reality TV?

How ridiculous! No matter how much you love your grandkids, parental rights RULE! Go find a daycare and VOLUNTEER!

Kim have some heart. Your Mother is your children’s Grandmother. We all need the support of loving grandparents in our lives.
