So it was the souffles that finally brought him down and it was his clash with Ryan Umane that made the show worth watching. For a guy who admittedly doesn’t like being in front of the camera’s, Frank Mirando made for some good television.
‘I tried to stay out of the politics,” said Frank Mirando in an exclusive interview with Reality TV Magazine. “I couldn’t help it with Ryan, though…When he threw Samantha under the bus in that first show. Saying ‘look at her food, it’s not as good as mine,’ from that point on we clashed.”
“But it’s some of the relationships on the show will last a lifetime…meeting people with the same passion for food that I have is unique.”
So what about those souffles?
“When they announced that challenge, I was feeling really confident. One souffle in an hour? That’s easy. But when Gordon brought out a chocolate and Graham pulled out a cheese…I realized I had to make three souffles…There were a couple of things I could have done differently — it was in the small details.”
So what’s next for Frank Mirando? Right now he’s teaching cooking classes and cooking for charity benefits. But his dream is to open an exotic sausage grille and lounge — cause who doesn’t like to lounge while eating exotic sausage? May we suggest calling it Frank’s Exotic Franks?
“But that will take a year or two to get off the ground,” says Frank. Can’t wait to get your Frank fix. Make sure to keep tabs on him at foodenomics.com. Good luck, Frank! And stay tuned for the “MasterChef” finale!
