Jeff Probst To Debut Daytime Talk Show Tomorrow

September 09, 2012 11:00 AM by Lisa Princ

While many fans are gearing up for the new season of CBSSurvivor, the show’s host, Jeff Probst, is gearing up for a new gig – as a daytime talk show host! His new show debuts tomorrow, but what does this mean for Survivor?

Jeff Probst is about to try his hand at daytime television, as his new show, The Jeff Probst Show is set to debut tomorrow, but Survivor fans need not worry as Probst will still be hosting the popular CBS show as well.

But in the world of already crowded daytime talk shows, what does Probst have to offer viewers that other shows may not? “I realized doing daytime that I have a very short attention span, so the show is really designed to check in on short stories every day that are all united by a theme,” Jeff Probst recently dished on Today.

Jeff Probst went into more detail as he explained: “It can be on the nose, it can be inspiring women working in television, or it could be stories having to do with banks — a bank robber, a bank teller and a piggy bank. It’s just three different types of stories relating to interesting, entertaining people. And then we have a couple of other segments on the show – guys on the couch and some other stuff.”

Why the sudden motivation to head to daytime television? Probst credits his new family: “When I got married and then became part of this family with these two kids that were calling me Dad, it all shifted, and I started realizing, ‘Ah, I think I have something to connect with now.”

The Jeff Probst Show is set to debut tomorrow, but you’ll have to check your local listings for the time and channel. Will you be tuning into The Jeff Probst Show? What do you think of Jeff Probst jumping on the daytime talk bandwagon? Comment and share your thoughts with us below!
