The Real Housewives Of New Jersey Recap: Blood Isn’t Thicker Than Water

September 09, 2012 08:22 PM by Megan Thompson

The Real Housewives Of New Jersey is all new tonight on Bravo. And guess who is returning to the show? It’s Dina Manzo and she has picked a side – Team Teresa.

“Caroline ruined the last day of vacation,” Joe tells Melissa about the whole Napa disaster.  But before the girls can gossip more about the whole California trip, they have to throw the kids on the bus for the first day of school.  Now that the kids are gone, Teresa and Juicy talk about how much they hate Caroline.  Teresa shares how “smart” her husband is and how she always listens to his advice. Maybe that’s how she lost all her friends?

Jacqueline (aka sleepy) stops by Melissa’s house to chat about the vacation drama.  Of course, Melissa punks her out about her pretending to be asleep while Teresa and Caroline went at it. Jacqueline admits she didn’t want anything to do with the fight, since she and Teresa just made nice again.

Teresa stops by Kathy’s house for some girl talk. “You left me out of the toast,” Kathy taunts Teresa.  Teresa makes up some lame excuse why she left her out, but Kathy isn’t buying it.  Of course, the conversation turns to Caroline.  Teresa doesn’t care about losing Caroline, because she has her bestie back (Jacqueline.)

Mama Manzo is busy planning her radio gig, when Melissa stops by with some wine.  “You really feel like you finished?” Melissa asks Caroline about her friendship with Teresa.  There is no budging on Caroline’s part, she just shakes her head in silence.  Caroline feels like a monkey is off her back and just wants to move forward – without Teresa.

A hesitant Kathy takes her daughter to look at colleges. This old-fashioned mom is finding it hard to let her daughter grow up.  Victoria is excited about going away to school, until she checks out the small, cinder-block, dorm room.  Kathy hopes her daughter will stay closer to home.

It’s Sirius radio time and now Caroline is getting nervous. “What am I doing here?” Caroline asks herself. But don’t worry, the entire Manzo family is there to support her.  The callers begin asking questions about Caroline’s relationship with her sister, Dina. Caroline admits that their relationship isn’t great at the moment, but that she loves her sister.

It’s the night of Teresa’s Fabellini launch party and she is without a sitter!  Melissa steps up and helps her sister-in-law out by taking all the girls.  Teresa says it’s just a “small party” for close friends, but it looks pretty large.  Jacqueline wasn’t invited and she is hurt by the snub.  But Teresa says she isn’t holding a grudge against Jacqueline, she just thinks their friendship is different now.  “You can’t stab somebody and then try to bring them back to life, it’s too late the person is already dead,” Teresa tells the cameras.  One Manzo that was invited and shows up is, Dina! Teresa fills Dina in on the whole California trip and her fight with Caroline. Dina doesn’t seem fazed by the drama and tells Teresa that blood isn’t always thicker than water. “To me it’s kind of silly,” Dina admits to Teresa about the fight with Caroline.

So what do you think about Dina supporting Teresa instead of Caroline?  Let us know your opinion, leave us a comment below.

Dina should be there for Caroline, if you remember back to season one..it was Caroline who took Dina in after her divorce, it was Carolina who helped Dina. It was Caroline who stood up to Danielle on behalf of Dina. Dina needs to see that yes family is there for you always….not so friends.
Unless Dina is trying to get back into limelight and the show since her HGTV show is not doing good.

Teresa basically trashed Caroline in her cookbook for no reason..trashed her cooking and took a shot at her mothering skills as well. Then she played dumb and said it was a joke. There wasn’t anything funny about it. I don’t blame Caroline one bit. She always had Teresa’s back. Teresa is the disgusting human being. She didn’t bother to start being nice to Melissa and Kathy until she had no one else. So transparent. She is lucky they forgave her.

Looks like Teresa and Dina deserve each other! They seem to be fame seekers with no regard for whom they might hurt. Teresa talks as though she has done nothing to anybody and claims Caroline, Jacqueline, Kathy and everybody else is just ganging up on her. It seemed to be okay when she was trashing them but she can’t handle the truth. The sad part is I feel sorry for Teresa because she seems to be so stupid about things that are staring her right in the face. The day the man I married called me a bitch and a c..t on national television would be the day he got his walking papers, but obviously Teresa is too insecure and shallow to even care?!?!?! Watch out Dina blood is actually thicker than water and I hope you realize one day before it is too late. Teresa only cares about herself (not even her family)and she will turn on you!!

Dina and Teresa are two of a kind. Underhanded users who surround themselves with people they can leech from. Dina was spineless and always clinging to big sister Caroline for protection. I never understood why she got her own interior decorating show because Dina’s house was a mess: it was overcrowded with knickknacks, overdone, and just plain ugly. Teresa’s isn’t much better. She also goes for the most extravagant and over-the-top pieces/furniture. They are clearly nouveau riche, although in their case it’s all credit-bought and there is really no riche. They are low class women who think they will be “high class” if they surround themselves with the most expensive junky furniture. Ugh.

Dina had no problem when her sister took the blame for the book on Danielle past…I believe Jacqueline when she said Dina found out about the book not Caroline..But Caroline said it was her,she was protecting Dina.
