Bachelor Pad Recap: Best Snake’s Shake-Up – Season Finale Shockers!

September 10, 2012 07:22 PM by Candace Young

Last week’s Bachelor Pad ended emotionally as Rachel Truehart sent her BFF, Jaclyn, home along with her partner Ed, thereby setting the final four as Rachel and Nick versus Chris and Sarah. Tonight’s finale promises to be full of typical BP drama as those eliminated from the mansion return to vote on the winning couple. Keep reading for highlights from the ‘disturbing’ finale,  and to find out if there’s any truth about a rumored proposal!

Bachelor Pad kicks off in the studio with Chris Harrison declaring that tonight will be insane. I’m up for anything as long as whiny, cocky Chris Bukowski does not win the $250, 000 prize money. The eliminated contestants are introduced and Michael Stagliano, the defending champ, comments on the alcohol-fueled craziness of this season. A montage of tears, hook-ups, and arguments is shown. Oh the drama! The romances, manipulations, and lies are showcased as well. Nick sums it up as, “Bachelor Pad is who’s the best snake.”

Harrison gets confirmation from Lindzi and Kalon that the unexpected romance between them is still ‘on’. Erica Rose warns Lindzi to be careful – she’s seen Kalon out with other girls at events, including his ex-girlfriend. Ouch. I feel sorry for Lindzi – she’s potentially become ‘baggage’ to Kalon.

Stagliano takes the hot seat to chat with Harrison about running the alliance…until his luck ran out. As his montage plays back, it becomes apparent that he may not only have been playing the game, he just might have been playing Rachel as well. He’s shown telling Erica Rose he wouldn’t date Rachel outside of the house, though he loves making out with her. Rachel is shown admitting she’s falling in love with him. Humiliating.

Erica and Mike hash out the details of their ending argument on the show, which featured her telling him that Holly’s best decision ever was dumping him and marrying Blake. Erica stands by her words. When Harrison asks where Michael and Rachel stand today, he says they’re fine, but Jaclyn pipes up to say Rachel is very hurt by his refusal to carry things on outside the house.

Jaclyn joins Harrison on the hot seat to dish on her perception that BFF Rachel threw her under the bus. She confirms that her connection with Rachel has never been the same. Chris Harrison reminds her that nothing is ever set on Bachelor Pad. She tells him she actually thought she was the puppetmaster,  not Stagliano, and is bitter. No kidding!

Blakeley is next to join Chris Harrison. Her montage shows how she was screwed over by Chris Bukowski. Chris is shown talking about how great it was to trade in Blakeley and Jamie for Sarah. Ugh. Blakeley and Tony’s unlikely relationship is featured as well.  Harrison prods at the animosity between Blakeley and Jamie. Blakeley insists she just had no interest in her one way or the other. Jaclyn jumps in to say Jamie is fake. A bitchfest ensues. Chris brings the conversation back to Blakeley and Tony. She gets choked up talking about how she can be herself with him, and can trust him.

Tony and Blakeley take the floor to make an announcement – they’re moving in together! Blakeley’s like, “And he has cable!” Tony interrupts the laughter to say there might be one last thing. He tells Blakeley he’s madly in love with her. Blakeley’s eyes dart around comically as he talks on. Omigod, suddenly Too-Good-To_Be-True Tony gets down on one knee and asks Blakeley to spend the rest of her life with him and his son, Taylor. Stunned, she replies, “Absolutely!” *Crying*

Bachelor Pad finalists Nick, Rachel, Chris, and Sarah are brought out. All Rachel wants to talk about her failed romance with Stagliano. Rachel calls him out on being completely cold after the show. He says he realized he wasn’t falling in love. Nick looks bored as she goes on and on about it. Michael insists he tried to break it off properly, but Rachel says he lead her on and began dating someone else. Nick looks up, down, and all around beside Rachel. They finally get to Nick, who admits that it was part of his plan to avoid the drama and slip in under the radar.

Harrison next asks Chris Bukowski how scared he was to come back. Bukowski admits it was tough for him, and his family, to watch the way he treated the girls on the show. He says his dad was disappointed in him. He uses getting over Emily Maynard as an excuse for his behavior. Jamie tells him he wouldn’t have been a good father to Ricki. Bazinga.

It’s question period. Jaclyn wastes no time in confronting Rachel about eliminating her. Rachel says it was the worst decision she had to make, and Nick chimes in that their best shot at winning was obviously to bring Chris and Sarah with them to the finale. Rachel and Jaclyn both end up in tears. Gah.

Chris Bukowski contradicts his earlier regret by saying he came to play the game. Blakeley warns him that they came to vote – so maybe he should have kept that in mind. This elicits applause. Sarah argues with Jamie and Blakeley over whether Chris is a nice guy. Chris aims an apology at Jamie, but ruins it by whining about his family being on his case continuously.

The Vote

Chris Harrison instructs the eliminated contestants to vote for a couple. Kalon, Superfan Dave, and Erica Rose are the only ones to vote for Chris and Sarah. Interestingly, it’s Jaclyn’s vote that seals the deal for Nick and Rachel!

Harrison tells the winning couple there is two of them and one prize. Rachel says she trusts Nick now, and that over time they came together. Nick agrees. Harrison tells them they have to go behind closed doors and choose a sign, ‘Share’ or ‘Keep’. If they both choose ‘Share’ they will split the money, if one chooses ‘Keep’ that person keeps the money, and if they both choose ‘Keep’ they lose the money to the eliminated contestants. Skeery!

The majority of the eliminated contestants feel that Nick and Rachel will both choose to share the money. Rachel and Nick return and Harrison prompts them to reveal their decision. Rachel says you can’t win without a partner – she chose ‘Share’. Nick says nobody would have put their money on him to be there in the end – he did this all himself. He says Rachel didn’t want to be his partner, and tried to leave three times knowing it would screw him over – only Jaclyn’s words kept her there. He reveals his choice – ‘Keep’!

Nick gets a standing ovation after his rant and decision! Harrison restores order so Rachel and Nick can have it out. She calls him disgusting, and he counters that every one of them came to win $250,000, not $125,000. Chris Harrison claims to be speechless. Hmm. Rachel turns on the waterworks.

Kalon declares himself to be Nick’s newest and biggest fan. Chris Harrison heralds the first solo champion of Bachelor Pad.  Nick heads backstage and Rachel follows. On the panel, Ed giggles as he tells Jaclyn he feels bad for Rachel. Meanwhile, Nick reminds Rachel that she was ready to ditch him numerous times, while she complains that they had a deal. Nick heads out, bag in hand, with no apparent regrets. In the limo he chuckles, “BP3, anything goes.”

What do you think of Nick winning the prize money? Do you feel bad for Rachel?

I can’t believe that girl went through so much to have that guy throw her under the bus. He might have won the game, but I hope someone slaps that smile off his face. He is a disgusting human being and maybe an even lower life form will swindle him out of it. He deserves BAD karma.

Even if no one wanted Nick, he still had to remember that he got the final votes thanks to Rachel, and did not get those money alone, so instead of being a scumbag he should at least admit it and give some $$$ to Rachel. He made his point and his revenge but he should give at least 50K to Rachel if not half.

HATED, HATED, HATED the way Bachelor Pad 2012 ended today! I am so disgusted. I don’t care if it was a game…he is worthless, has no integrity, certainly is no gentleman. I hope she is offered a lucrative deal and makes millions!

LOL… Way to go Nick.. Can I remind you it was a game show. Rachel is second place. I don’t agree with she got him to the finals. The truth is anyone Nick would have been pared with would have gone to the finals with him.. The Key was Chris… Everyone hated him, so Nick was the shoe in. Does anyone else remember all the boo hoo I wanna go home…… Well now she can cry, no more sex with Michael and no money for being a TV Tramp.

Who did Nick think got him to the finals and in the power seat. It wasn’t his performance alone…Rachel was the only who could sing!

Good for Nick! Rachel made it to the finals becasue Michael and Jaclyn carried her on their backs. She was horrible to Nick and deserved what she got. What goes around, comes around! Karma is a beyotch!

Rachel should not be the next bachelorette. She doesn’t have her emotions under control and is lacking the class that past bachelorette have had. The lead needs to be more emotionally stable.

Nicks comments about how he won were 100% accurate. Its a game. He totally and completely earned it! CONGRATS NICK!

What a despicable human being Nick turned out to be. And could somebody please tell me WHY the audience, which was full of women by the way, cheered and clapped for Nick? That made no sense to me. It would have been cool is there was deafening silence for him. And Rachel. That poor girl was lied to twice. Once by Michael and then by Nick. She deserves to be the next Bachelorette!

  16. Tami Says:
    September 11th, 2012 at 11:19 am

Nick would not have gotten to the finals if Rachel wasn’t his partner. He would of been voted off long before probably back when Kalon and Lindzi where voted off. People where loyal to Rachel so he got to stick around. What a jerk! I feel bad for Rachel first Michael breaks her heart and then Nick screws her over.

  17. Charlie Says:
    September 11th, 2012 at 11:37 am

Nick is lower than Whale shit. Rachel got him to the finals. He sings worse than Beiber. Like BP says I hope Rachel is the next Bachelorette. She should have smacked him along side the head with her share sign.

  18. Merrie Says:
    September 11th, 2012 at 3:30 pm

Nick is a selfish, disgusting bastard. I believe that he should have shared the money with Rachel.
I can see why she did not want to be his partner. He is a greedy, cold-hearted snake who only cares about his well-being and financial status not other people’s.

  19. Merrie Says:
    September 11th, 2012 at 3:35 pm

I am very disappointed with the ending on Bachelor Pad. I thought that Rachel and Nick were going to split the money. Nick is a selfish bastard who only cares about his own well-being and financial status.
He should have been a gentleman and shared the money with Rachel.

  20. Deb Says:
    September 11th, 2012 at 3:51 pm

Nick is the one responsible for getting Rachel to vote against her best girlfriedn – he told Rachel that if you do what I say, “we” will win the money because no one will vote for Chris. He kept telling her to “listen to me” “we will win”. Trust me he kept saying. Well, NO trust with him. I think he will regret his decision one day and again, a real jerk won’t.

  21. Rene Says:

Have to admit, Nick is absolutely right. He was treated like the kid always picked last in gym, no one gave him the time of day. I like Rachel, but honestly, what did she do? She was more interested in her romance with Michael and floated along with her supposed boyfriend puppet master. She didn’t carry Nick in the last competition, he carried himself. It’s a game…he played it.

  22. Shirley Says:
    September 12th, 2012 at 1:16 am

Nick’s a sleazebag! I DO NOT LIKE THE WAY THIS ENDED AT ALL!!!! Money certainly brings out the worst in some people. Nick certainly shows his character (that is, his lack of ANY character). BOO to the producers of “Bachelor Pad” for bringing out the worst in people. I feel kind of “dirty” for even watching this show..seeing what how low this guy would stoop to win all the money. What a disgusting excuse for a human being…hopefully karma will get him in the end….oh, same goes for the other lowlife, Michael Stagliano…yechhhh

  23. Shirley Says:
    September 12th, 2012 at 5:19 am

He did tell her “they would win” Also he made her turn her back on her friend.
She even said they had talked about it and decided to share the money. If a man doesn’t keep his word that makes him a scumbag.

  24. Anna Says:
    September 13th, 2012 at 6:34 pm

Way to go Nick. You got there by yourself why would Rachell say she got you there. She wanted out kept crying about missing Michael.O well you played the game and won the money.I hope they don’t have her as the next bacherlette
She’s such a drama queen. Right on Nick enjoy !!!!!!!

  25. CJ Says:
