George Clooney Not Split From Stacy Keibler

September 13, 2012 06:00 AM by Gina Hall

This just in: Movie star George Clooney and Stacy Keibler of “Dancing with the Stars” are still dating.  Maybe.

“A story published by a London tabloid, The Sun, concerning George Clooney and Stacy Keibler  breaking up is not true,” Clooney’s representative, Stan Rosenfield, told E! News on Tuesday.

Total fabrication designed to sell newspapers,” Rosenfield said.

The Sun recently made headlines of its own by publishing naked photographs of Britain’s Prince Harry, which were taken in Las Vegas, in defiance of the royal family’s wishes. The tabloid newspaper is now reporting that Stacy Keibler has been telling her friends that her relationship with George Clooney is kaput.

“She said George wants to be on his own again and has no intention of getting married,” someone who claimed to a friend of Stacy’s of told the newspaper. “Stacy hoped they would be together long-term. It was a big breakthrough to spend time with his parents. But over the last few weeks, George has pulled away from her.”

Stacy’s latest show: “Dancing Without A Star.”

Clooney and Stacy spent a large part of the summer together, including several weeks at his villa on Italy’s lovely Lake Como. They also visited other European destinations.

Stacy was seen alone at New York’s Fashion Week, and was asked at the Vera Wang show if Clooney would be joining her in the front row one at one of the events, she told E! News, “I don’t know, ask him.”

Of course, if he had been there, they would have. The point of the question was to see if she knew the answer. Clearly, she did not.
