Sharon Osbourne’s tenure on America’s Got Talent may be over, but fans can expect at least two out of the three season 7 judges to return. Or can they? Howard Stern recently discussed the possibility of a return to AGT on his radio show, carefully weighing the pros and cons of such a move. What would stop “America’s judge” from returning?
During a recent satellite radio broadcast, shock jock Howard Stern was quick to point out all the things he loved about being a judge on America’s Got Talent. ”The way I’m looking at it is: Yeah. I enjoyed the show. I liked being on a network television show. I liked doing something differing out of my comfort zone. Working with Howie, Sharon and Nick I liked….I like the variety…”
Howard did have one big problem with the show, and believe it or not, it had nothing to do with network feuds (a la Sharon Osbourne). He was more concerned that his radio schedule left him little time for judging a reality TV competition. “What I didn’t like is that, I had sort of reorganized our schedule so we could have more time off,….but meanwhile it didn’t feel like I had more time off.”
Of course, Howard had to work in the fact that everybody loves him soooo much! When he starts to doubt his ability to return to America’s Got Talent, he thinks, “I built something this year. I built a following. How can I leave now?”
Okay, we have to admit, even with all his ego-centric rambling, we did kinda enjoy seeing Howard on AGT, and especially when he went at it with Howie! It would be nice to see him back next year, although it still won’t be the same without Sharon.
