The auditions continue on “The X Factor” and tonight we see what talent emerges from Kansas City, Texas and San Francisco. Will the ultimate winner come out of the Midwest? Let’s take a look along with L.A. Reid, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato and Simon Cowell
A new judge “Louis” will join the other three judges tonight. Simon Cowell is a bit under the weather so this Louis fellow will be filling in. When the the contestants hear about the absence of Simon they cheer. Louis is Louis Walsch, a long time business partner of Simon and he is also a Brit.
First up is Rizzloe Jones and he plans to freestyle. He tells the judges he’s going to rap, L.A. Reid is surprised. L.A. and Louis think it was pretty decent. The judges vote to send him on.
The next up is CeCe. She’s an obnoxious mean girl. She informs everyone that she’s much better than everyone backstage. Cece sings “Unchained Melody” and L.A. Reid says it’s a the wrong song. Then CeCe sings a Christina Aguilera song. The judges put her through.
The next up is Vino who sports a ton of tats. L.A. Reid says he was prepared to not like him at all. He sings “Trouble” and changes their minds. The judges give him a yes.
Deangelo is up next and he dismisses the judges backstage and complains about Justin Bieber once he gets on stage. L.A. Reid tells him to shut up and states “You have no idea how much you are irritating us right now.” Deangelo sings Chris Brown’s “With You.” The judges even walk out on him. Deangelo tries to leave with his mic and the police come out and arrest him.
Tate Stevens gets called up next. He’s has a good voice and a fun personality. The judges give Tate the go ahead.
The auditions move on to San Francisco and Simon Cowell returns. Good news for us home viewers, bad news for the contestants. Citizen, a boy band, is up first. They sing “Don’t Let Go” by En Vogue. The lady judges are into them. L.A. Reid, Britney Spears, and Demi Lovato give them a yes. Simon says no. Citizen gets to the next round.
Diamond White is next and she’s only 13. She sings “This Is A Man’s World” and she’s good. They all give her a yes.
Finally we move onto Texas. First up is Ally. Simon gives his approval almost immediately. The judges wind up all giving her a go ahead.
Next is Brandan Hassan who also sings “Trouble” Simon says he’s been looking for something like this for a while. Next is Panda, “like the bear,” she says. She sings “Bring It On Home.” Simon says that Panda sounds like a “legend.” She gets a nod.
Suddenly, Panda’s recent bout of pneumonia catches up with her and she starts coughing up phlegm and can’t breathe. Paramedics arrive and take her away.
Jessica Espinosa is the final performance. She let’s us in on her sob story of being poor and how much winning the X Factor could really help her out. She sings Pink’s “Nobody Knows”, and the judges bite and she gets to move forward.
Excited for any of the contestants yet?
