The final three master chefs are so close to the finish. Who will win the coveted title? Time will tell but first they must make it to the finale. On tonight’s episode of Top Chefs Masters, the remaining chef’s work with mystery teammates and culinary student’s in an effort to wow the judges. Keep reading to find out how the chefs handle this week’s challenge on the Bravo reality TV show!
Along with bragging rights, the chefs are competing for prizes and money that will be donated to their charities. The show is based in Las Vegas and all of the chefs put their luck to the test. The three competing chefs are Kerry Heffernan, Lorena Garcia and Chris Cosentino.
The rotating judges include Krista Simmons, Francis Lam, Ruth Reichl and James Oseland.
For the Quickfire challenge, the final three master chefs divide into three teams to create identical dishes with a mystery teammate in 20 minutes! The twist–the food critics are the mystery teammates! Lorena and Francis Lam are paired together; Kerry and Ruth Reichl work to get everything done in time and Chris and James Oseland are teammates. Host Curtis Stone likes Chris and James’ dish the best and Chris wins more money for his charity.
For the main challenge the chefs will be working with aspiring young chefs. Each master chef meets their cooking students who will be cooking for the chefs.
The master chefs won’t be doing any of the cooking! Wanting to win, each chef must be patient and explain to the young students exactly how they want the students to cook. The culinary students run around the kitchen taking directions from the master chefs.
One by one the master chefs and the culinary students present their dishes to an anxious table of food critics and proud parents. Chris’ dish with his student’s is pork loin; Lorena’s dish with her students is a three-meat lasagna with a salad and Kerry’s dish with his students is Florentine-inspired chicken.
Everyone is very nervous heading into the critics’ table since the finale is just one week away. After tasting the dishes and hearing feedback from guests at the dinner, the judges reveal the best dish: Kerry’s Florentine-inspired chicken. Since Kerry is this week’s winner, he receives $10,000 for his charity. After deliberating, the judges decide to eliminate Lorena Garcia.
