Former football player Chad Johnson made a living as a wide receiver in the NFL by using his head, but that same head might be what ended his career.
Chad Johnson, who showed up a few times on “Basketball Wives,” beat up his then-wife by head-butting her. Who goes around head-butting people? Anyway, a judge has now signed off on the divorce between Chad Johnson and Evelyn Lozada. Chad says he believes that is why the Miami Dolphins cut him, and not because he is a washed-up has-been who has lost a step.
“That was the reason,” Chad told James Brown on “Inside the NFL.” “There’s no need to blow smoke up my ass.”
The interview airs Wednesday night on the Showtime network. Chad was ordered to complete a domestic violence program after beating up a former girlfriend in 2000. That program apparently failed, and now Chad is a serial woman-beater. Chad mentioned that he has enrolled in anger management classes to learn tricks to suppress his rage so that he can prevent beating up other women, girls, etc.
“I’m trying to find out how can I channel my anger when I’m in situations to where I would pop off,” Chad said.
By “pop off,” Chad might likely mean “punching ladies.” Chad says he takes full responsibility for the head-butting incident with Lozada. Well, who else would possibly be responsible? Chad said he is no longer on speaking terms with Lozada. Of course, he implied that when he hit her with his skull.
“There’s nothing I can say to her because she’s already heard it all … what can I say … actions speak louder than words and this is the time for me to show action.”
Please, Chad, no more actions. Use your words.
