Many fans of The Bachelorette were disappointed to hear that Arie Luyendyk Jr. would not be heading to the next season of The Bachelor, leaving the spot open for Sean Lowe or Roberto Martinez. Arie Luyendyk Jr., however, says that doing the show was never of any interest to him. Why not?
Arie Luyendyk Jr. won the lady viewers over last season on The Bachelorette, although he was not able to win over Emily Maynard. So, why would Arie have no interest in a shot at finding love on The Bachelor? It’s simple, Arie’s other love, racing, is what he is concentrating on right now. Arie recently caught up with US Weekly, where he dished about why he was not interested in being the next Bachelor star.
“I passed on Bachelor this season, just to concentrate on racing,” the 30-year-old hottie said. Arie Luyendyk then went on to explain a bit more: “I’ve moved on from the Bachelor franchise and I’m doing well. When I was in that environment, I gained a lot of clarity on what I wanted to do in life and for me it really made me just focus on my career when I got out. That’s my first love and I’m pursuing that right now.”
But, does that mean that we will never see Arie on our television sets again? Not necessarily. “I’ll never say never. You just never know what the future can hold. I’m open to everything as long as it doesn’t conflict with racing. Hopefully I won’t be off the TV set for too long.”
We wish Arie Luyendyk Jr. the best of luck with his racing career! What do you think of Arie Luyendyk Jr.? Comment below and let us know!
