Last night’s premiere of Dancing with the Stars was amazing, to say the least. Usually, there’s an awkward period as the contestants learn the basics, but this time, even the lowest on the leader board (Pamela Anderson) was still watchable. Talk about tough competition!
Results shows on Dancing with the Stars are usually only one hour, but since it’s the first week, our friends at ABC have decided to offer us the gift of…filler material! It’s all good though, because with so many contestants from so many different seasons, we need a bit of a review in order to keep everyone straight.
First, we learn that Pamela Anderson will be appearing in a Broadway show. Yeah, that’s right, she’ll be playing merry murderess Roxie Hart in Chicago. So, when (not if) she gets cut from the competition early, Pam will have another option for her currently lackluster career.
The judges get to choose a favorite to perform again, and (surprise, surprise) they select Emmitt and Cheryl’s cha-cha! The dance is every bit as entertaining the second time around. Emmitt may have taken a long break from DWTS, but he clearly still has what it takes to go all the way.
Next, it’s time for some results! One by one, the couples learn if they are safe or in jeopardy. Most of the big winners from past seasons make it through to next week, but Drew Lachey winds up in the bottom. He’s joined by Pamela Anderson and Bristol Palin, aka awkward and awkward..er? Let’s hope Drew doesn’t get cut now, because to have been beat out by these two would just be embarrassing.
The guest performers tonight are Pitbull and (cue tween girl screaming) Justin Bieber! Pitbull’s live rendition of Don’t Stop The Party is fun, but watching the audience dance with glow sticks is even more entertaining. Justin Bieber, is, as usual, difficult to hear, what with all the incessant shrieking from the audience.
The bottom three couples return to the stage to learn their fate. First to be saved are Bristol and Mark — this is sure to outrage all the haters and delight those delusional enough to think that Bristol possesses any dancing talent (okay, okay, she wasn’t quite as awful as usual last night. But still not good). Drew and Anna are also safe, which means that, as we predicted, Pam and Tristan will be heading home! It’s all good though, because Pam has a part waiting for her on Broadway…plus, she can return to having sex!
Are you glad that Pam was eliminated, or were you hoping to see more of her
boobs dancing? Feel free to share your reactions in the comments section below!
