Flipping Out Recap: Do You Believe In Second Chances?

October 02, 2012 08:40 PM by Lisa Princ

Recently, on Bravo‘s Flipping Out, Jeff Lewis’ newest addition, Andrew brought some new excitement to the office showed some inappropriate behavior around the clients, but things took a dramatic turn last week, when his lies were exposed. Did Andrew prove to be completely unstable this week when he requested a meeting with Jeff?

Flipping Out was back tonight after Andrew’s tirade last week, and the office was left trying to regroup. Down one man, Jeff and the crew knew they needed to pull the extra weight, which included Jeff getting more involved with several clients’ projects than originally intended – without any extra pay. Oh, what would poor, underpaid Jeff do?

One of the clients, located in Venice, proved to be quite the problem for Jeff, who was stuck managing the project, when he wasn’t supposed to be. The client apparently did not want to pay Jeff to manage the project, so instead she was paying the price and she was getting nothing but the runaround from the contractor. Have no fear though, Jeff made sure to step in and take control over the contractor.

Then, out of the blue, Jeff got a call from Andrew, who wanted to meet up with Jeff and speak to him. Despite Jenni’s desperate looking pleas of “no” in her eyes, Jeff agreed to meet Andrew at the office. Jenni, Gage, and Vanina worried that Andrew would come to the office with a weapon and “go postal” on them all. Meanwhile, Gage took it upon himself to start looking for a new employee….a female ironically – jealous much, Gage?

After having to go the extra mile to accommodate his big money client Lisa, Jeff confided in Lisa about what Andrew did – the lies and the inappropriate behavior. Lisa, who is a big executive for a television network, advised Jeff not to take Andrew back, but would Jeff be smart enough to listen?

When Andrew did show up at the office, his meeting with Jeff turned into a group therapy session, or at least it appeared that way. Andrew poured his heart out, and we learned that he was actually abused as a child, so his self therapy was pretending to be anyone but himself, thus the lies. Gage was not impressed and told Andrew that he did not feel he should come back to the office. Zoila told Andrew that she liked him, and Jenni seemed torn.

But, ultimately it was up to Jeff, and Jeff went right over Gage’s head and hired Andrew back on, which annoyed the heck out of Gage. Jeff’s reasoning was that he thought Andrew was being sincere, and he is a believer in second chances, especially after Andrew just poured his heart out. Somehow, I think most of us would agree with Jeff tonight. Let’s just hope it doesn’t backfire in his face, because Gage would never let him live it down.

Did Jeff Lewis make the right move by re-hiring Andrew after all his lies? Are you enjoying the new season of Flipping Out? Comment and share your thoughts with us below!

I cant stand Gage. He is a dark could in the office. Constantly trying to stir up trouble and drama. I think he should keep Andrew and dump Gage.

I’m with Gage on this. Jeff made a mistake in hiring Andrew back. Once a liar, always a liar.

Would tell a sociopathic employer all your most personal shit? Everyone tells white lies to preserve some personal space. Props to Jeff for rehiring Andy and boo to bully Gage!
