Richard Blais from Atlanta is beginning construction on a new restaurant. He was a finalist on Top Chef: Chicago Season 4 and won Top Chef All-Stars Season 8. He’s trying to balance his personal and professional lives but is really feeling the pressure. On top of everything else’s, he is preparing to cook at the famous Aspen Food & Wine Festival.

Spike Mendelsohn was born into the restaurant business and he works with his passionately opinionated family. Currently, he’s working with his family on their popular restaurant-chain, Good Stuff Eatery in Washington D.C. Spike works with his mother, father and sister! He first competed on Top Chef: Chicago Season 4 where he was sent home right before the finale and returned to compete on Top Chef All-Stars Season 8.

Fabio Viviani was born and raised in Florence, Italy and was the “fan favorite” from Top Chef: New York Season 5. He also competed on Top Chef All-Stars Season 8 and was the personal Chef to William Shatner. Currently, he is expanding his own brand with cooking classes, endorsement deals and social media. With so many goals in mind and his work schedule; he is extremely busy and wonders if he’ll have true happiness.

Jen Carroll from Philadelphia competed in Top Chef: Las Vegas Season 6 where she proved she was a tough cookie. She also appeared in Top Chef-All Stars Season 8. Recently, she decided to quit her job with Eric Ripert to open her own restaurant. Unfortunately, Jen didn’t listen to Eric Ripert when he told her to make sure her investors were secured. Now, she’s trying to find funding for her own restaurant.

The former cheftestants reunite at the Aspen Food & Wine Festival to cook for an elite crowd. Richard Blais and Fabio Viviani arrive in Colorado where they meet up with Paul Qui the winner of Top Chef: Texas. The pressure is on as each chef tries to outdo the other. Later, Jen Carroll shows up and starts cooking for 1,000 guests. When she arrives, her shells are on location but her scallops are missing! The only seafood the hotel has to give Jen is shrimp so she does the best she can. Last but not least, Spike Mendelsohn shows up and says he thrives on the adrenaline rush.

Each chef is given a different country to cook an authentic dish. After preparing and cooking their dishes they serve it to food critics, chefs and foodies. This season promises to be packed with lots of ups and downs for the master chefs…stay tuned!
