Stacey Dash Reacts To Nasty Tweets, Fake Interviews

October 11, 2012 01:00 PM by Stephanie Gustafson

Who knew a simple tweet about Mitt Romney could land an actress in so much hot water? Stacey Dash’s Twitter page has been the target of some truly nasty messages in the past few days, all in reaction to the star’s tweet in favor of the Republican candidate.  The Celebrity Circus alum knew that her Twitter page was under attack but didn’t realize the extent of the chaos until Piers Morgan read off the worst of the worst.

Forget the first presidential debate; one of the main sources of political conflict this week has been Stacey Dash’s Twitter page. After announcing her support for the Romney online, Stacey was party to a barrage of responses from both supporters and haters. She even managed to attract the attention of Samuel L. Jackson, who later tweeted, “Wait, did Stacey Dash Really endorse Romney today?! REALLY????! Is she CRA………..??!”

Unfortunately, Samuel L. Jackson’s response looks really sweet and harmless compared to that of other Twitter users. Piers Morgan decided to highlight a few other tweets during an interview with the controversial Clueless star. “This is somebody who tweeted, ‘You’re an unemployed black woman endorsing Mitt Romney. You’re voting against yourself thrice, you poor beautiful idiot.’”

As if that weren’t bad enough, another hater sent Stacey Dash the following nasty tweet: “Kill yourself, you old hag.” Piers echoed our thoughts when he labeled the tweet “disgusting.”

Turns out, angry tweets have been only one of Stacey’s recent problems. The actress hinted that there might be a few fake interviews trolling the internet when she tweeted, “The only interview i’ve given is with Piers Morgan Tonight on CNN, any interviews on websites or anywhere else are FALSE.”

You don’t have to agree with Stacey Dash, but insulting and threatening an actress over a simple Twitter post (or, for that matter, making up fake interviews) is crossing the line. We don’t blame Stacey for feeling “saddened and shocked.”
