Lindsay Lohan Endorses Mitt Romney

October 13, 2012 04:00 PM by Stephanie Gustafson

Mitt Romney is a celeb magnet right now! He’s attracted the attention of Stacey Dash, Nicki Minaj, Clint Eastwood and now…Lindsay Lohan? Yep, the Punk’d alum and former Obama supporter is now planning on switching to the Republican ticket. Somehow, we’re thinking that Mitt Romney would probably rather not be associated with Lindsay Lohan.

It’s every politician’s nightmare: having Lindsay Lohan as a supporter.  But that nightmare has become Mitt Romney’s reality because Lindsay announced her support for the Republican ticket during a recent red carpet affair.  E! asked the celeb about her voting plans and her response? “I just think employment is really important right now. So, as of now, Mitt Romney. As of now.”

Lindsay is happy to place her support behind Mitt Romney, but she’s not ready to elaborate on her reasoning, explaining to E! that, “It’s a long story, but you’re going to have to wait for that.”  We suspect it has something to do with President Obama’s unwillingness to reduce taxes for the richer folks. She tweeted Obama last month, asking him to cut taxes “for those that are listed on Forbes as ‘millionaires.’” He hasn’t yet obliged, so maybe Lilo thinks she’d have better luck with Romney.

Of course, before she can vote for Romney, Lindsay Lohan will have to register. And according to her publicist, the celeb is in the middle of doing just that. “She is in the process of registering to vote. I believe her papers have been sent in.” If things go well, she’ll be all set to vote when November 6th rolls around!

Sorry Romney, you just have earned yourself the worst supporter possible.
