Recently, while in Hawaii on his honeymoon, Jack Osbourne helped save the life of a drowning woman. But he quickly came under fire when his new wife, Lisa Stelly bragged on Twitter that Osbourne and friend, Tyler resuscitated the woman and remained by her side until paramedics arrived on scene.
People took offense to Lisa’s tweet as though Jack was trying to take full credit for saving the woman’s life. However, according to US Weekly, Osbourne said, “I never said I was the sole contributor in the rescue. In fact, I haven’t said anything at all. The last thing I want to do is take all of the credit when in fact there were a few people who helped save her life.”
Osbourne said that he and his friend Tyler along with five other people worked together to save the woman. Jack and Tyler lifted the woman onto a spine board and then into a golf cart where they took over chest compressions until the woman could be transported securely from the beach to an awaiting ambulance at a nearby hotel.
Osbourne described moving the woman from the beach to the ambulance saying, “During his [Tyler’s] attempt, I was holding the woman’s lifeless body so she wouldn’t fall from the moving vehicle.” Osbourne explains. “Tyler and I switched positions, and I straddled the woman in order to get the right amount of leverage for the chest compressions. Once we arrived, we waited for the EMT for approximately 4-6 minutes. During that time, I continued to administer chest compressions. As soon as the EMTs arrived, I backed away and let them take over.”
The woman survived thanks to Osbourne and all the others who helped. “I hope she has a speedy recovery.” Osbourne said.
Good job Jack!
