Mario Lopez just can’t do anything wrong, can he? The star has been hot since he was a teenager, and everything he touches seems to turn to gold. He hosts the TV shows “Extra” and “America’s Best Dance Crew” as well as “On With Mario Lopez,” a nationally-syndicated nightly radio program, and even acts on occasion. Now, rumor has it, he’ll be adding X Factor judge to his resume alongside Khloe Kardashian.
Mario Lopez and Khloe Kardashian are both reportedly finalizing deals that would have them appearing on the show beginning next month, with existing judges Simon Cowell, Britney Spears, Demi Lovato, and L.A. Reid. When he was stopped earlier this week for comment on the impending deal, Lopez stated “Well, you know, I’ve been hearing that rumor [about 'The X Factor'] myself, so we’ll see. I guess we’ll just have to stay tuned.” When asked about the Kardashians, Lopez said, “I know the Kardashians very well. Very nice family, very sweet,” Lopez gushed. “I’ve had them on my show ‘Extra’ a bunch of times. I’ve known [Khloe] for years.”
We’re so excited that he’s joining the cast! We can’t wait to see what he has to add to the mix! It will be nice to see him in a judges’ chair. Until the show debuts, Mario is definitely keeping himself occupied. On Thursday he attended a promotional event for his new underwear line, “MaLo”. The brand is a play on his name, and the word for “Bad” in Spanish.
When asked to comment on his product line, Mario said “I really do like the MaLo line. It’s got lots of great colors, and I’m just really happy with the way it turned out. What was important to me was that it was high-quality and affordable,” Lopez also added that his favorite pair of underwear is “whatever pair is clean.” What a charmer, right? Malo’s merchandise line also includes T-shirts, socks, and workout gear. “Hopefully, it’s only the beginning of a bunch of stuff that we’ll get to do apparel-wise,” Lopez added.
Mario is also getting ready to walk down the isle. December 1st he’ll be tying the knot with Broadway dancer Courtney Mazza, the mother of his 2-year-old daughter Gia. Way to go, Mario! What a year!
What do you think of Mario’s move into the X Factor? Do you think he’ll be a good judge?
