Taylor Swift is one busy gal! The singer and former Punk’d star took a break from filming PSA announcements (and letting the paparazzi film PDA sessions with boyfriend Conor Kennedy) to promote her new single on Good Morning America. Will this new Taylor Swift song prove as a big a hit as the awkwardly named We Are Never Ever Getting Back Together? We suspect the answer is yes!
Taylor Swift fans are pumped for tonight’s release of the new single State of Grace, so we’re sure they were equally excited to hear a preview of the song on Good Morning America. This new Taylor Swift song is just one of many on the soon-to-be-released album Red.
Taylor introduced the State of Grace clip by explaining the lyrics’ origins. “I wrote this song about when you first fall in love with someone, the possibilities. Thinking about the different ways that it can go. It’s a really big sound. To me this sounds like the feeling of falling in love in an epic way. I hope you like it.”
No word as to whether the song has anything to do with new beau Conor Kennedy. The answer is probably no, as Taylor typically writes her songs long before recording and releasing them. Taylor and Conor didn’t begin flaunting their relationship until the summer of 2012, meaning that State of Grace was probably written with somebody else in mind. That being said, it sounds like it’s a song that can be applied broadly to the experience of falling in love.
