Last night on Dancing With The Stars, Paul Abdul’s stint as a guest judge saw the first 10s of the all-star season awarded. Going into tonight’s results show, Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd top the leaderboard and Kirstie Alley and Maks Chmerkovskiy are at the bottom. Will Kirstie hang in there for another week? What about struggling Bristol Palin? Read on…
America’s votes were combined with the Dancing With The Stars judges’ scores to arrive at tonight’s results. Performing live tonight will be Susan Boyle, Donny Osmond, and Christina Grimmie. The first four couples are ready to learn their fate.
The first couple to learn they are safe is…Shawn Johnson and Derek Hough, which is no surprise given that they gave a fantastic performance last night.
Sexy duo, Kelly Monaco and Val Chmerkovskiy are also returning next week, along with Sabrina Bryan and Louis Van Amstel who did a glittery disco routine last night.
Bristol Palin and Mark Ballas are in jeopardy following their dance to At The Hop.
Former Dancing With The Stars contestant, Carson Kressley, makes an appearance and talks about rubbing something on Gilles’ chest before footage is shown of him bugging the stars before their numbers last night. He knocks on trailers hoping to find someone without their ‘face on’, and needles Maks about doing the Charleston, calling him ‘The Great Maksby’.
Christina Grimmie performs Titanium live while the Macy’s Stars of Dance perform.
Gilles Marini and Peta Murgatroyd are safe after their Bollywood performance last night, and ‘sexy beast’ Emmitt Smith and Cheryl Burke, will also return.
Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff are at risk. Could it be due to Karina’s fall last night, or just a less-than-stellar hip hop routine?
Melissa Rycroft and Tony Dovolani performed an impressive jitterbug last night and will return next week.
Kirstie Alley and Maks Chmerkovskiy did a fun Charleston, but got the lowest scores of the night and are in jeopardy.
Donny Osmond and Susan Boyle perform together live – am I alone in finding this an odd pairing?
Next week, the dancers will perform twice and do freestyle in teams. Gilles and Peta and Shawn and Derek are team leaders. They draw for their song DVDs. Gilles is revved to get Gangnam Style, and Derek’s not so stoked to get Call Me Maybe. Gilles gets the toss and they choose Kelly and Val first for their team. Shawn takes Sabrina and Louis. Gilles takes Kirstie and Maks. Shawn adds Emmitt and Cheryl. Shawn chooses Apolo and Karina. Bristol and Mark are left, not chosen by either team, and will join whatever team loses a couple to tonight’s elimination, unless they are eliminated themselves.
It’s time to save one more couple and reveal the bottom two. Apolo and Karina are safe.
Bristol and Mark, and Kirstie and Maks are in the bottom two. Will Bristol finally leave the competition? Yes, she and Mark have reached the end of the road.
