Ashton Kutcher may have benefited financially from appearing on That 70′s Show and Punk’d, but his new gig on Two and a Half Men blows those previous figures out of the water. How else would he end up at the top of Forbes’ list of highest-paid TV actors?
Life is good for Ashton Kutcher. The drama with Demi Moore is settling down, his romance with Mila Kunis is heating up and his pay for Two and a Half Men? Not to shabby. The actor landed right at the top of Forbes’ list of highest-paid TV actors, having earned an estimated $24 million between May 2011 and May 2012.
Ashton’s salary beat out that of Hugh Laurie, Ray Romano, Tim Allen and Alec Baldwin, all of whom also snagged spots on the Forbes list. Hugh Laurie and Ray Romano tied for second place with a paltry $18 million apiece. Charlie Sheen also appeared on the list, although he didn’t manage to break the top 10. This is a huge pay cut for the former Two and a Half Men lead. Before the debacle that took place in early 2011, Charlie Sheen was earning $40 million a year for starring in Two and a Half Men. This puts Ashton a full $16 million behind Charlie’s former salary — but well ahead of Charlie’s current earnings. Now the star of Anger Management, Charlie didn’t even manage to crack the top 10.
It’s interesting to see Ashton topping the earnings list, what with the mixed reactions from reviewers and the massive Two and a Half Men ratings slump. Still, Ashton remains one hell of a bargain compared to Charlie Sheen!
