And then there were…4? Okay, so it’s not the final three that we expected. In fact, it’s not a final three at all with the judges giving all of the remaining designers a free pass during Part I of the Project Runway finale (and not exactly for a good reason either). But, nonetheless, in the end, only one can be “in,” and only one will take home the top prize. Who is it?
Tonight on the season finale of Lifetime‘s Project Runway….
After weeks of competition, several trips to Mood, and who knows how many hours logged in the Work Room, the final four designers are finally headed to Fashion Week for the last show, and to find out who’s gonna win this thing!
With four challenge wins under his belt, Christopher Palu is feeling pretty confident; and a little annoyed that the judges acted as though they were doing him a favor by not eliminating him last week.
That’s not to say that he didn’t listen to their criticism. He’s a bit confused by it…but he still listened.
For their final trip to Mood, the designers are given $300 to help them create something that will complement their collections. You know…just to complicate things.
This may prove to be beneficial for Melissa Fleis though, who now has the chance to throw in a little color to impress the judges.
By the time the hair consult and model fittings come around, Christopher’s confidence is starting to fade, and he’s cracking under the pressure.
Dmitry Sholokhov was relatively cool to start, but after speaking to Tim Gunn about the risk he’s taking with his models’ hair, he’s starting to doubt himself, too. Will the silver-leaf look get more attention than the actual designs? Will it help or hurt the whole “old lady clothes” image he’s been trying to shed?
One person who’s actually doing quite well? Fabio Costa. After the judges’ last critique, Fabio had an epiphany, and added several luxe pieces to upgrade his collection.
Could he walk away with the win?
Possibly. Especially since Christopher and Melissa are practically sewing garments together at the last minute.
It’s showtime, and already, Dmitry’s regretting that hair treatment which is taking forever just to apply.
But that’s not as bad as things are going for Christopher…. One of his models’ gowns gets ripped backstage, so as Heidi Klum is kicking off the show, he’s frantically cutting away the train.
And of course, his collection is the first to be presented.
As soon as the show began, it was hard to tell that any of the designers struggled at all!
Each piece was as exquisite as the next.
Any of the designers could win.
But…the actual winner? Dmitry Sholokhov!
What did you think of the Season 10 finale? Do you think that Fabio should’ve won, or did the judges get it right choosing Dmitry? Sound off in the Comments section below!
