Lindsay Lohan Won’t Face Charges In Latest Auto Accident

October 23, 2012 06:00 AM by Megan Wilson

Lindsay Lohan must have an incredible legal budget every year.  The Punk’d star is always finagling her way out of legal mires.  It seems Lindsay Lohan faces new charges every month, doesn’t it?  Well, her legal all-star team got her out of trouble again today.  She was scheduled to appear in court over a fender bender that took place on Sept 21st, but no charges were filed.

The prosecution is remaining tight lipped about the whole ordeal, but Lohan’s spokespeople released a statement saying “As we said from the beginning, this is a big nothing.” Are they trying to say the victim is money hungry?

Lindsay was originally charged with leaving the scene of an accident.  The reports say that restaurant worker Jose Rodriguez claimed her Porsche hit him and injured his knee as she turned from a Manhattan street into an alley by the Dream Hotel. Police said no alcohol was involved. Rodriguez was simply walking by when the incident occurred.

Jose Rodriguez did call emergency services, was taken to the hospital, and Lohan was issued an appearance ticket before being released.  Police recently released a grainy surveillance tape of the incident that shows Lohan’s car turning as Rodriguez passed in front of it. Blurring to conceal witnesses’ faces partially obscures the scene, and it’s not clear exactly what happens as he is in front of the car. The video does show him staying on his feet and walking after the car as it continues into the alley.

This incident took place while Lohan was still on “Informal” probation stealing a necklace from a jewelry store in Venice, Calif. last year; she spent 35 days on house arrest in that case. While she isn’t required to check in with a judge or probation officer, she could face a jail term if she gets in further trouble.

This is just the latest brush with the law that Lohan has faced; this comes on the heels of a fight with her mom a few weeks ago and a failed intervention last week.

What do you think is next for Lindsay?  Do you think she’ll be back in rehab or jail soon?  Let us know in the comments!

Lindsay needs to put in jail. I mean a real one, no more getting off light. Lindsay has proven she doesn’t change which means this is not going to stop until she kills somebody!I hope when she crosses the line for good the judges who kept letting her go will be sued along with Lindsay.

Chloe, I couldnt agree more! all she keeps getting is little slaps on the wrist and it wont end well. I too believe that the ones who keep letting her off easy, and her legal team for that matter, will be sued if anything happens. these re-occurances are their fault too. its downright ridiculous.

why does she keep getting out of jail? she needs to be stopped.she needs a good sit in jail and to be treated like any other other person would.she needs to be presented in front of a hangin judge, she would probably get away with murder.the legal system should be ashamed of its self. i wonder how fat their pockets get from codeling that spoiled brat,it makes me sick how the rich r treated better than others.

She will never spend time in jail because she’s Lindsey Lohan-a C actor. The people who hire her for work are just supporting her addictions. Frankly, it makes me sick when I see her previews for yet another movie. The people (directors, producers and other actors), who support her-I am done with also.Every single person (lawyers ,judges etc),who have let her off need to go to lail with her when she runs over someones child, mom, dad, brother or sister. It won’t happen though-they may serve time for negligence while she is at a bar coked up drinking a martini.

The entire Lindsay train wreck is beyond insulting. How pitiful
that the people in charge have no back bone, pathetic.
I’d like to take other cases just like Lindsay’s and compare their sentences. Bet the other similar cases don’t get free passes. How sad that the outcome is predictable. She is going
to kill someone or herself or both, end up in prison (not jail).
She’ll be forgotten about, she will be a has been, and someone will write a book ad go on the talk circuits. in 5 years, I bet we won’t be talking about her again, what do you think? Karen for Santa Rosa, Ca
