That’s right, Lindsay Lohan’s political view really doesn’t matter at all. And do you know why? Is it because she’s a famous person? No. Is it because the Punk’d star will probably be heading to her sixth stint in rehab? Not that, either. With her back and forth political tweets, you’d think she actually cared about who led this country.
Unfortunately, she either doesn’t care and is releasing the tweets for attention, or she’s just blissfully unaware of the fact that she isn’t a registered voter.
Last night, Lindsay had tweeted her support for Obama by saying “RT if you’re #ProudOfObama as our commander in chief”. Just a few weeks prior during an interview she eloquently threw her vote in the ring for Romney, by announcing “I just think employment is really important right now. So, as of now, Mitt Romney. As of now.”
Ah, Lindsay. If only your opinion could matter come voting day. It’s also surprising she’s had time to sit and watch the debate, with all her family drama and court dates as of late.
The Los Angeles County Voter Registration office shows that since she moved from her previous house in Venice that Lindsay has yet to register and that voter material mailed to her home had been sent back. Surprise, surprise.
We hope she registered before yesterday, because if she didn’t, she’s out of luck.
Guess who else isn’t registered to vote? Nicki Minaj! A search of voter rolls in both California and New York comes up empty. Unfortunately, the star who claims to be voting for Romney, won’t be voting at all, unless she’s registered in the past few weeks. It seems this barrage of political backing by famous people is turning into quite the mire. You would think with all the handlers these people have they would at least maintain voting privileges somewhere.
Here’s the point: if you’re brave enough to side with a political party and announce it to millions of people, you’d better be a registered voter.
