Johnny Knoxville is up to his regular antics again, appearing in a new teen comedy movie, Fun Size, coming out today. The Jackass star worked alongside Victoria Justice, Chelsea Handler, and Jane Levy in the flick. Johnny took a break last week, however, to visit the burial site of his friend, Ryan Dunn, who died in an alcohol related crash. After speaking at Dunn’s funeral, Johnny has remained quite quiet about the event that took one of his closest friends.
Last Wednesday Johnny tweeted a picture of Ryan Dunn’s gravestone, which was covered with flowers, and uploaded it to Twitter with the caption, “We just visited Ryan’s grave out in Brecksville. Was glad to see he has had many people coming by to visit.” Johnny gave a speech at Dunn’s memorial, but has remained silent on the event until now.
Last night, at Paramount Theater in Hollywood, California, Johnny appeared at the premiere in a quirky but casual outfit, sporting red Converse shoes, Khakis, oversize belt buckle, and a flannel plaid shirt layered over a Tom & Jerry tee.
The Halloween themed film is supposed to center around hijinks related to the holiday-and we all know that Johnny Knoxville and hijinks go together like peanut butter & jelly. This film is sure to elicit guffaws from the pre-teen and young teen target audience.
Victoria Justice said in an interview that the movie will remind viewers of comedies from the 1980′s, and that it is “in the realm of a John Hughes film. There are not that many films out there that are a great teen comedy that represent what teens are going through… it has some heartwarming moments as well.”
When asked about what it was like to work with the king of self-humiliation, Victoria said that Johnny Knoxville is “one of the most down-to-earth guys I’ve ever met. He’s so cool!”
Right on, Johnny! We’re rooting for you!
Will you be seeing Fun Size?
