Octomom In Rehab: Babysitters Rejoice!

October 30, 2012 06:00 PM by Stephanie Gustafson

We have long suspected there was something seriously wrong with Nadya Suleman (aka Octomom). Now it’s finally confirmed — Octomom has entered rehab to deal with a drug addiction. While she’s gone, her flock of kids is being cared for by their usual babysitters. And according to said babysitters, childcare is a hell of a lot easier when Octomom is out of the way! Not that we’re particularly surprised to hear that…

Having Octomom around the house can be a pain, especially if you are supposed to take care of her kids. After the famous trainwreck mother entered rehab, one of her many babysitters told TMZ that it’s a lot easier to work in an Octomom-less household. In fact, the peaceful home is now the complete opposite from how child services found it in April, when Octomom’s children were spotted going to the bathroom outside and leaving massive amounts of graffiti on the walls.

That’s not to say that all contact has been cut between Octomom, her kids and her babysitters. The mother still makes a point of calling home at least twice a day. During these calls, she checks in on her kids and leaves specific instructions for the babysitters. TMZ’s source appreciates hearing feedback from Octomom, but only over the telephone. When the feedback arrives in person, it almost always comes in the form of shouting. Compare that to the surprisingly calm voice Octomom’s nannies have been hearing on the other side of the phone.

Were you surprised to hear about Octomom’s Xanax addiction? And could you have predicted a calmer home without the celeb mom’s presence? Leave a comment and let us know!

If I had 14 kids I’d be popping xanax like chiclets.! True, no one told her to have so many kids, but they are here and it must be very difficult dealing with all those toddlers. I think its remarkable that she has any sanity at all. It’s a rough time for her for a while and she needs all the support she can get. I give her a lot of credit for giving it all she’s got.Stay strong Nadia;it will get better.

Not sure why Octomom was more stressed with the xanax she is claiming the addiction to. Aint the stuff supposed to calm you down? Seems as though it was working the opposite effect for her

She shouldnt be allowed to have her kids. She is an idiot who used these kids as a publicity stunt and a way to up her welfare. The doctor who allowed this to happen should have his license revoked.

She should give those kids up for adoption and let them have some kind of life. And some kind of life for herself too.

Such a sad situation for these kids. She is totally irresponsible & sociopathic. She sought fortune and fame. Well, she’s infamous, poor & addicted. Now, she’s an even bigger burden on society. She doesn’t deserve to be a parent and her IVF doctor should be punished for inseminating
her.Our planet would be better off without her as it is dangerously overpopulated according to scientists.Life is precious but she turned hers into a publicity stunt that went very wrong.

Why are these kids still with this madwoman????? She has bilked the public out of massive amounts of money, and I’m sick of people feeling sorry for her. She took money for doing porn movies….and she STILL has her kids?????? Something’s wrong with our system and this world. She needs to be sterilized.

That woman needs to have those kids taken away!!!!She has no job, and apparently no sense when it comes to raising said kids. If those children are allowed to stay with her, I can’t wait to see how messed up they are as adults.

Glad to finally know what wound Octomom up! Feel for those kids and their nannies! Life can be zany enough without the mom spinning out of control day in and day out.

Previous nannies have reported (no pay and with face in shadows and voices disguised) that she ties the children in their cribs with cheesecloth (no restraint marks) so she can take a nap and refuses to let the nannies into the children’s room for anything, even if they are crying.

One nanny said she picked up one of the toddlers because he was crying and Octo put the kid in time out for “begging to be coddled”.

These interviews were on KTLA in the past couple of weeks. She does not allow any ‘coddling’ of the octuplets by anyone or any loving attention given by anyone except herself.

More and more of this insane woman’s actions are coming to light. There is an ongoing investigation regarding child neglect and sexual abuse of the octuplet girls by one of the older boys. The same boy who watched his mom’s porn on his I-Phone and destroyed the house in LaHabra.

Things are gonna get worse for the kids as time goes on – and much, much worse for her.

Yes, Bellestarr. Despite all the confidentiality agreements and threats of deportation, former nannies & babysitters are finally surfacing with their stories of neglect, abuse, abandonment, financial fraud, developmental delays, violence & property damage, publicity exploits, drug use, and inappropriate sexualization of the children. The authorities still await actionable evidence since the burden for accusers remains high, but I commend then for taking their stories to the authorities first, rather than gossip sites. None of them have profited from their reports, and several have maintained their public anonymity. I hope others follow their lead and come forward with what they know, and that when they do, at least some of the kids’ futures & aptitudes remain salvageable.
