Taylor Swift has been incredibly busy making headlines lately! The Punk’d star most recently made headlines after breaking up with her boyfriend, Conor Kennedy. It seems that everyone has weighed in on her most recent relationship. Taylor Swift has also been promoting her newest album, Red, and now has agreed to co-host the Grammy Nominations Concert Live-A Countdown to Music’s Biggest Night!
Taylor has won six grammys herself, which we all can agree takes a lot of hard work. The powers that be obviously recognize her star power, and have asked her, along with LL Cool J, to host the night’s festivities. The event will take place in Nashville, Tennessee at the Bridgestone Arena, and will be aired live on Dec 5th, before the main show in February. Maroon 5 and Luke Bryan will also be performing.
The special has been used by the Recording Academy to draw in viewers for the main show, and release the nominees for categories such as album of the year, performer of the year, and song of the year. This is the first time the event has been held in Nashville, and who better to host than one of the biggest crossover stars?
Taylor also been on an incredible promotional whirlwind for Red, appearing on over 70 media outlets worldwide. Her promotion and media manager, John Zarling, spoke on the event, saying the event covered most major demographics, “I would say it’s about 60 percent country radio, 20 percent top 40 or hot AC, and 20 percent international. We’ve got Germany, Spain, Mexico, and two from South Africa. We also had New Zealand, and a couple of phone interviews from India, so we’re trying to reach everywhere we can.”
Way to go, Taylor! We’re incredibly excited for you and can’t wait to see the show!
Will you be tuning in?
