Tuesday night brought shocking results for Dancing With The Stars contestant, Sabrina Bryan. The audience couldn’t believe what they were hearing and chimed in with plenty of boos. Although Sabrina has had a consistently good run on the show this season and even scored perfect marks on one occasion, the show chose to eliminate her.
According to USA Today, host, Tom Begeron gave fair warning to the crowded audience, “Tonight’s elimination could be the most surprising of the season so far.”
But we’ve all heard that before, haven’t we? They always hype up the results night to add to the suspense and keep us on the edge of our seats.
Here’s how it all went down. After an encore performance of Apolo Anton Ohno and Karina Smirnoff’s Viennese waltz, Emmitt Smith was told he was safe. And then, also safe, Kelly Monaco, which was strange because these were the two dancers with the lowest scores from Monday night.
Then came more saves. Shawn Johnson, Giles Marini, and even Kirstie Alley were safe and through to the next round. All that was left were the top three high-scoring dance couples, Apolo Anton Ohno, Melissa Rycroft, and Sabrina Bryan. Bergeron announced that Melissa was safe leaving only Apolo and Sabrina to face elimination.
Sabrina was eliminated from the competition. “This was my second chance, and last night was one of the most beautiful nights I’ve ever had,” she said obviously upset by the decision. She went on to thank both her partner and the show.
Sabrina appeared on Good Morning America following the elimination and said that although the elimination was hard for her, she stood behind her performance and was proud of it.
So tell us, what did you think about Sabrina Bryan’s elimination from Dancing With The Stars? Do you think she was the right choice to go home? Or should it have been someone else? Who do you think should have been sent home? Post a comment below and let us know.
