For the second time this season, our interview with the most-recently ousted Survivor: Philippines contestant has been canceled. But unlike Russell Swan, who used a busy excuse to bail on multiple media interviews (including ours), Roberta “RC” Saint-Amour had a legitimate reason for missing all of her scheduled chats — Hurricane Sandy.
Shortly after her elimination episode wrapped on Halloween night, CBS sent out an e-mail to reporters involved in the weekly process to announce the interview cancellations. The brief message indicated that all of RC’s interviews were being canceled nationwide because she “does not have power right now and has been evacuated from her apartment” in New York as a result of Superstorm Sandy that angrily swirled ashore this week.
A spokesperson for the show says it’s currently unclear if RC will be available for interviews at a later time. It’s possible, but not certain. All we can do is wish RC the best and hope she found her way to safety from Mother Nature’s nasty temper.
Were you affected by Hurricane Sandy? Did you lose power throughout the storm? If RC does become available to do an interview at some point, what questions would you like us to ask her? Have your voice heard by sounding off and leaving a comment in the section below!
