A few days ago, we learned that The Voice judge, Cee Lo Green was under fire for allegedly sexually assaulting a mystery woman. More details are emerging and now it seems MDMA also known as Ecstasy was involved. Continue reading to get all the details.
According to TMZ, the mystery woman whose identity has yet to be revealed is accusing Cee Lo of sexual assault and battery. The woman is not from California so she originally reported the incident to her local law enforcement and they referred the case to the Los Angeles Police Department. The woman told officers with the LAPD that Cee Lo took her to a restaurant in downtown L.A. back in July. She said she remembers having a drink with Cee Lo but cannot remember anything beyond that point. She goes on to say the next thing she can remember is lying naked in a bed and Cee Lo was present in the room.
Sources involved with the case have said there is a tape-recorded conversation of Cee Lo admitting to slipping Ecstasy in the woman’s drink and then later having sex with her. But Cee Lo adamantly denies those claims and sources connected with the singer say if those type of admissions were on a tape and in the police’s possession, Cee Lo would already be in jail.
There is talk of a “pretext call” being made – a call that the LAPD directed the woman to make in an effort to bait Cee Lo into an admission of the crime that would incriminate him. Supposedly, there is a tape of Cee Lo apologizing repeatedly and referencing Ecstasy but he does not admit to slipping the drug into her drink. Instead, he supposedly said, “he thought the drug would help them have an exciting time together.”
Officers with the LAPD have paid a visit to the restaurant in downtown in Los Angeles where the assault supposedly took place. Police officers questioned numerous employees and the manager of the restaurant and they plan to refer the case to the District Attorney’s office upon completion of their investigation.
But here’s the twist, there are conflicting stories being told. Sources close to Cee Lo said the woman did not go to the police first. Instead, she went to a civil attorney and demanded money from the singer and if he wanted the situation to go away, he’d pay up. Yet other sources say the woman’s attorney called Cee Lo’s manager, not to demand money, but to ask if Cee Lo had any “communicable diseases” and the woman went to the police only after Cee Lo’s manager shut her lawyer down.
What a mess of she said, he said! What do you think of this Cee Lo drama? As popular as Cee Lo is, do you think he’d have to trick or drug a woman to hop into bed with him? Do you think this “mystery” woman is trying to get some money out of Cee Lo? Or do you think he’s guilty of slipping her Ecstasy and sexually assaulting her? We love to know what you think, so post a comment below, and let us know.
