Chris Harrison: New Bachelor Sean Lowe Really Wants To Find Love

November 03, 2012 12:00 PM by Donna W. Martin

Season 17 of The Bachelor is set to premiere in January and new bachelor, Sean Lowe, 28, is ready to find love. Chris Harrison weighs in on how Lowe is doing and what he predicts for the upcoming season. Find out what Harrison has to say after the jump.

According to ABC, Lowe was heartbroken when The Bachelorette, Emily Maynard dumped him just a few short months ago. He thought he had truly found the one in Maynard and even confessed his love to her a short time before she eliminated him from the competition. She even referred to Lowe as “the perfect man” throughout the entire season. So what went wrong? We may never know.

But Lowe isn’t dwelling on it these days. He’s moving on to bigger and better things as the new Bachelor, season 17.

In an interview with US Weekly, Chris Harrison, host of The Bachelor said Lowe is the ultimate catch for any woman because he’s a true southern gentleman. “He’s not looking for a Southern belle per se, but he’s looking for a lady: someone who respects herself and her family,” Harrison said. “It’s not a crazy, ‘let’s get drunk, let’s get naked’ type of season because that’s not Sean. [The Bachelor] really does take the shape of the character and that’s not him.”

Lowe is currently taping his season and Harrison said, “Sean’s doing great and his choices and decisions so far have been really good. He’s handling it really well.” Harrison explained, “I think people are really going to like him because he’s so sincere. He really is looking for that someone and that makes it fun for everyone.” Harrison went on to say, “He has his shirt off a lot, [but] . . . when you get to know the guy; he’s very well read, very intelligent, a very smart guy,” He explains, “He really wants to find love. His mom and dad have been married for many, many years and they’re sort of the role model he’s looking for. It’ll be an interesting season.”

Lowe sums it up saying he wants his first marriage to be his only marriage.

What do you think of the new Bachelor? Do you think he will be able to find lasting love? Or will The Bachelor curse strike again? Post a comment below and let us know what you think.
